Bruh this aint it Hugo is now dumb?
Reviewed: 06-02-24
Ok, so in theory Hugo has been significantly trained by Libby and others. Yet he doesnt study his opponent (Grayson) every fight is essentially a fight by a brawler, he doesnt use his comprehensive suite if powers, I mean come on. Dude was supposed to be that guy and he gets owned by basics.

Despite all the training Hugo gets dumber. The teen "relations" is disturbing and to much. grinding through the series but it is getting tough.

Story
Belisarius is a quantum man, an engineered Homo quantus who fled the powerful insight of dangerously addictive quantum senses. He found a precarious balance as a con man, but when a client offers him untold wealth to move a squadron of warships across an enemy wormhole, he must embrace his birthright to even try. In fact, the job is so big that he'll need a crew built from all the new sub-branches of humanity. If he succeeds, he might trigger an interstellar war, but success might also point the way to the next step of Homo quantus evolution.

Come on how many darn times does he make the same mistakes over and over trusting clear enemies? How many main characters need to die for the author? Seriously this is marring an otherwise good story.

Granuaile is the worst
Reviewed: 08-14-23
As Granuaile became more of a main character the books became worse. Couldn't finish this one. You have 2000 old individual who acts like a 20 year old. You have someone who has literally trained only 12 years (Granuaile) able to defeat or be on par with both the 2000 year old and gods. The series just went of the rails this book. Would have given it a worse ranking but the world building is still unique.
