It was a wonderful story of love, kindness, and giving of one’s self for the love of others. A cute story which also involved two little boys who got easily into mischief. So entertaining it made me laugh. Loved it!

I enjoyed this book because in a way it was historical, bringing World War 1 and the Iraq War into the story line. The parallel of lives of the characters was most interesting. I found the book believable and thoroughly enjoyed it. And once again Stina Nieslen does a great job!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story about this young girl, what she had endured with her illness and about her past history with her family. It was very moving. Also it was quite revealing of what the Chicago fire must have been like and what the people of that time must have experienced. God puts us in certain situations for a reason. Love and service to others is what it’s all about. It’s enjoyable listening to Stina Nielsen as narrator.

Once again Shelley tells a great love story! It gently covered the subject of abuse. I especially liked how the writer brought in forgiveness, compassion and truth. The narrator Tania Gilbert did an excellent job with the voices. I highly recommend this story.
