This is by far the most interesting, sexy, plot twisting, soul shattering at times book that I've ever purchased and I'm so freaking happy I did. It is 1000% worth the credit!!!!

This book is read as if it was written & translated primarily in another language as it is choppy at best. There is no structure, and the story drags in several places. I'm on chapter 15, and I had to tap out as nothing has happened at all! It's more YA than the reverse harem dark shifter romance I thought I was getting. DNF!!!! not worth a credit!

This book was HORRIBLE. I never like to dissuade people from a book but this book was so bad that it made me angry because I was really enjoying the series. this book didn't know whether it wanted to be a young adult preteen romance novel or a dark romance novel and the back and forth was giving me whiplash. I am in chapter 22 for crying out loud and the main characters have just met for the first time! I mean what the hell was the point of the first 22 chapters???? plus this book feels pedophile-ish with the way the MFC is written & described as a super young and inexperienced schoolgirl. plus the nonsensical & spiraling internal monologs this MFC has with herself takes up more than half the time I've spent listening to the book this far. The storyline is super confusing and has been completely random for the first 22 chapters, that I don't know if I can continue to listen to the rest. the book is more annoying than enjoyable for sure.

All I can say is I love some dark romance but this was terrible and all it did was make me angrier as I listened. Nothing about this was ok......Nothing about this was a story worth telling. Abusing a girl that had been abused her whole life for what? I've listened to similar storylines before but there was nothing to look forward to here. No ending that would make any of this ok. I found I had to skip several parts and just plain stopped at chapter 37 as I just couldn't continue. I do not recommend.

You would think that being forced into a loveless marriage to ensure an alliance would be unheard of in this day and age. And in most cases, you would be correct in that assumption. But not for me. A cartel princess has no vote on who she can or cannot marry—much less love. Any decision in my life was forfeited just by being born into the most powerful Mexican cartel there is.

I am so sick of these Negative Nancys leaving terrible reviews about amazing books which could turn some readers away as a consequence. These people leave reviews complaining about a book's dark content, their distaste for the reverse harem, or even how much they dislike the aggressiveness of the MMC......this is Dark Romance people!!!! If you want the princess bride this is not the genre for you!!! I couldn't believe the negative review about the accent from the MFC because in this story the MFC was from Mexico and her accent was Beautifully perfect in my opinion. The story kept me enthralled from start to finish and if you are into reverse harem dark MMCs and strong MFC then I would definitely recommend you give this book and this series a try! Don't let others dissuade or persuade you for that matter....you know what type of books you like and go for them! you don't know what you will actually like until you give it a try!

I loved this book. Can not wait for the next one as this one kept me on edge from start to finish. The one drawback I would say was the sex scenes. They became a little repetitive and could have been worked in a little better to the story line.

Don't do it. I love Piper Stone's books but this narrator reads the different characters using terribly annoying voices and pauses way to long between words so it sounds like the computer is reading the words. No connection and I had to return it as it was a waste of a credit. totally bummed as the story line was interesting.
