Let Me Never Let Mel Again
Reviewed: 01-15-25
This book is the regurgitated mumble that’s in every self help or spiritual book. Mel, says the same things everyone else has already said before. Let them is in every sentence. It’s overkill. Her voice is annoying, she comes across phony and disingenuous. I will not ever listen to another one of her books.

Story
Life, Starr reminds us, is holy ground. Lyrical and tender, filled with profound wisdom and mind-opening insights, Ordinary Mysticism is about finding wonder in regular life, grounded in lessons from spiritual teachers across the centuries—from Julian of Norwich to Ram Dass. Starr combines their ancient wisdom with the story of her own personal and spiritual journey—from surviving the heartbreak of her fourteen-year-old daughter’s death to growing up amid the 1960s counterculture that introduced her to mysticism to her self-made spiritual practice of today.

Just a repetitive version of every other book that’s already been written. No new knowledge or enlightening views. It was a slow burn of boring and regurgitated ideals and practices.

Story
When Mona Ramsey married Lord Teddy Roughton to secure his visa—allowing him to remain in San Francisco to fulfill his wildest dreams—she never imagined she would, by age 48, be the sole owner of Easley House, Teddy’s grand, romantic country manor in the UK. She also didn't imagine that she’d need to open the manor’s doors to paying guests to afford the electric bill and repair the leaking roof. Yet somehow she and her young friend Wilfred--whom guests assume is serving as Easley’s charming-but-clumsy butler--and the loopy old gardener Mr. Hargis, are making it work.

I loved the concept of this book but it seriously lacked. Not as good as the other tales books. The story seriously fell flat for me. I feel maybe that Armistead could have quit while he was ahead. This seemed like a book to pay the bills or Covid time boredom.

This book is a great concept but lacked a great deals of mysticism of Islam. I simply felt that the author was reading the Quran page by page. It was a dry narrative and very un-informative.

Reviewed: 01-17-24
I have a pleather of Caroline’s books and lectures. Though I love and honor her concepts, every one of them is a repeat of the first. Her Catholic guilt riddled relay of messages and wisdom leads me to ponder if her views are somewhat tainted. I don’t disagree with her but I also don’t believe it’s so easily defined or all true.

Story
Dr. Stranges authored several books on scientific and religious subjects, including his classic The Stranger at the Pentagon, which tells the unusual story of a spaceman named Valiant Thor. Because Thor was a real person who appeared in a public on a few occasions (including at the UN headquarters in New York City), the legend of the Stranger at the Pentagon has grown, becoming a real head-scratcher for 21st-century UFO researchers. What exactly happened to Valiant Thor? Could Valiant Thor still be alive today, in 2018, somewhere in - or under - our nation's Capitol?

Valiant Thor?
Reviewed: 01-07-24
I was excited to listen to this book but then it became very Jesus-E. I find it difficult to believe that enlightenment ET’s from other universes and dimensions would only speak about Jesus Christ when there are so many other religions and spiritual teachings. I once was a believer in Valiant Thor, now I’m more of a skeptic.
