I'm not a Trump supporter but wanted to know more about him after listening to the John Bolton book.
This book was amazing and the author wrote it with such intelligence and honesty. I didn't want it to end
and now wish I could find a follow up book. Wonder if this will ever be a movie. Listen to it and you'll know
more about Donald Trump than you ever knew before!

Shame on Audible for not saying this was a 'Christian book" and should have been listed as that. I was half way thru what I thought was an interesting book when it started to turn religious. What the heck? I didn't want a lecture on someone's concept of God and related issues. I wanted a mystery. This is unfair! I finally returned the book because I was not happy with Audible for doing this and wish they would be more honest with the public!

I wanted to like this book and was interesting in trying a new author, however, I just couldn't finish it. I made it about half way thru and still couldn't say what the story was really about other than missing girls. Guess trying something new doesn't always work out.

Not sure it is worth one credit, although I bought it on a daily special rate. The story was ok but so slow moving and very little challenge to the story. Can't say anything more but perhaps it would be best to skip it.

Save your credit. The author might be good but this isn't a good example of it. There were two stories going on at the same time and since the voices were all from one person I found it difficult to understand which story was playing. If I read good reviews in the future about this author I might try again but otherwise not.

This appeared to be a slow moving story at first. However, once one became friends with the main character, which took about 1/3 of the book, the story moved alone quite well. I am hoping to find this is a series, but perhaps not. Well worth the credit.

What made the experience of listening to Liar the most enjoyable?
Slow starting, like the author is just getting the reader/listener to trust. Then slowly it builds and finally the last 3 chapters it all comes together. Didn't guess the ending. Was happy with the book, so much so I searched out another book by the same author (The Mistake) and ordered it. Give it a try.....you'll be glad you did.

I personally found it hard at first because of the various foreign names and thought of not finishing only after a few chapters. But then the poetry and charm of the narrator took a hold of me and I began to love the cadence and rhythm of everything. I was eventually sad for it to end and immediately tried to find something more by the same author or narrator. If you can, be patient as this nothing you have ever experienced before. I'd give it six stars if I could!

I might try another with this author but I did find it a bit hard listening to the Ausie accent which was at times a bit much. In other words, for me at least, the difficulty in understanding what was being said in an audible book took away, somewhat, from the performance and story. The plot line was good and I listened to it to the very end so would still say risk it if the book is on sale.
