A Relaxing and Sometimes Hilarious Weekend Listen

Overall
5 out of 5 stars
Performance
5 out of 5 stars
Story
5 out of 5 stars

If you liked watching Charmed, this book is a great choice. The story and characters are completely different, but the addictive flow of the story and setting were spot on for me.

The pros: (1) The author often worked in humorous asides or jokes that kept me smiling. I really enjoyed the "Homicides and Apple Pies" chapter. (2) The story had a manageable cast of characters with distinct personalities so it was easy to remember each character as they popped in and out during the story. (3) The book had the right amount world building, action, and character development that made me want to listen even though I should be focusing on something else ><

Con: The book does not really have a unique take on witch tropes, but strengths of the book are the story, characters, and humor.

The narrator also did a good job of using distinct voices between characters.
