Story
Geometry defines the world around us, helping us make sense of everything from architecture to military science to fashion. And for over 2,000 years, geometry has been equated with Euclid's Elements, arguably the most influential book in the history of mathematics. In The King of Infinite Space, renowned mathematics writer David Berlinski provides a concise homage to this elusive mathematician and his staggering achievements.

Funniest Highest and Fullest math overview

This book taxed my mind but rewarded my efforts with what I believe all math autodidacts should have: FUN. The Euclidean Academy today is so far flung and understated I worry about y'all like I do not worry about Plato's dreamy cohort from THE famous painting. Berlinski writes phenomenal prose and exhaustive structure to scout the world over many times extensible to all departments.

Story
Twenty-four of the Buddha's most distinguished disciples are brought to life in ten chapters of rich narration. They include monks who were very close to him throughout his life, including Sariputta and Mahamoggallana; his cousin and companion Ananda; his principal women disciples, including the nun Isidasi and his lay disciple, the courtesan Ambapali; and the serial killer Angulimala, whose character was transformed after meeting the Buddha.

Best reality tv not on tv. Was not expecting Mahamogalala to turn out as an action hero. Angulimala redemption story was also very pleasant and musical. Plato speaks of great men having "the music". All these Bhikkus and their tales carry that harmony.

Story
We live in an extraordinary time. Technological advances are happening at a rate faster than our ability to understand them, and in a world that moves faster than we can imagine, we cannot afford to stand still. These advances bring efficiency and abundance - and they are profoundly deflationary. Our economic systems were built for a pre-technology era when labor and capital were inextricably linked - an era that counted on growth and inflation and an era where we made money from inefficiency.

It's all the Duh headlines you have seen before cited with the repetitive argument for "deflation good" you see on the cover. I think this parrot brand book is becoming its own recognizable genre unless you've never heard the same Nicolas Taleb antifragile forest fire quote followed by the same Malcolm Gladwell 10,000 hours practice quote followed by the same Elon Musk AI warning quote and the revolving door of Thinking Fast Thinking Slow or Make it Stick citations. This book leans so heavily on other best sellers who lean on other best sellers it has no worth of its own to merit a listen for its own words.

Uninformative waste of time plus legal disclaimers

You're better off with a five minute free YouTube video. You already know to boil and cool and if you buy this that's all that is said in one minute plus four minutes legal disclaimers. Nothing was said about the purpose of cleaning water to particular pollutants or how practices compare. Nothing was said about the kinds of technology out there to consider. Nothing was said to give any background or expanding what you would already know before buying this. These are all the first things ANY YouTuber will want to let you know about distilling.
