Good idea, bad fall through. DNF DNR
Reviewed: 08-29-24
the premise is ok, it's an isakai, which I love. However the voice acting in the spicy scenes is just a guy narration. There is no feeling behind it at all! The story is also not the great. I got through, I think half way through the second book and had to return. It's just not hitting all the things you want in a audiobook like this. There's no feeling, no emotion, nothing. It's just bleh...DNR DNF

Story
One sunny day, a routine airshow ended with me flying through a portal to another world. Here, warplanes aren’t the only thing in the sky. Oh, and my mind has a tendency to see what others are thinking. Now, amongst airships, beautiful beastkin, floating continents and telepathic powers, I’ll have to pick a side to fight for. When I do, I'll have to prove my loyalty, my skill, and play my part in saving this world from an evil that crossed from my world into this one. On the ground, I’m just a man, but in the air, I’m as powerful as a dragon.

After asking for people to give me their ideas on what stories/series they would like to be adapted to anime or shows, the author told me his. I asked for what book was his, and I would definitely have to say this book series (I hope it's a series) will get adapted! The story, pacing, spice, and detail they put into this is absolutely amazeballs!! one of the absolute best stories I have listened to since Herald of Shalia! Hell it on par for Herald of Harem farm. This is one of my absolute favorites now!!! Amazing job by the preformers, the VAs did an amazing job, and can't wait for book 2 to drop!!! Keep em coming, and yes I mean that double entendre!

Story
It was supposed to be a medical marvel. Instead, it triggered the apocalypse. Half of humanity mutated into mindless zombies. Half the survivors mutated into the inhumans: various new species of people with new appearances and abilities. Some grew scales, some grew fur, some could fly, some could survive only underwater. Decades passed, and from the ashes of the old world, a new patchwork civilization rose. Humans and inhumans lived in tentative peace, and the zombies turned out to be not much of a threat once a few generations of survivors had come and gone.

Story, spice, amazing
Reviewed: 03-08-24
I started this book cause I saw how long it was. I was thinking well at least I'll have something to listen to, even if it's bad. I was hooked from chapter 1. There were times I was Ted to stop just cause I got a little bored, wish It was dual narrative but still great. The spice is amazing and perfect, the girls the relationships, the way the mc navigates everything is so good. I will admit he does seem quite passive at times, and it just kind of threw me off at times, but then you get used to it. But over great book series and great narration!

Story
Have you ever felt like there was something inside of you pushing your actions? A dormant beast, so to speak. I know it sounds crazy. But, that’s the best way I could describe how I’ve felt for a long time. I thought it was normal, some animal part of the human brain that lingered from evolution. But, this is the story of how I learned I wasn’t exactly human, and there was a world underneath our own where all the things that go bump in the night live. And, that my beast was very real indeed.

If you're looking for a smut filled book, this isn't it. the "action" doesn't happen till you're almost done. now don't let that turn you away!!! It's worth the listen! these voice actors really make the characters come alive. The story, and characters are wonderfully done and rounded out. my only complaint is that I wish the spice hit sooner, but I think for this first book of the series it's well worth the wait. I just bought the second book and about to start it.
If you like Bruce's other works, you will love this one as well!!

From the start it was ok, but as the story went on I lost interest, quickly. The idea is amazing don't get me wrong. But the performance was not that good, I'm sure she is great at other stories, however in this one not so much. If you are here for spicy stuff, don't get this. You have to wait a LONNNNNG TIME, and even when it does, it's not that satisfying. Plus the use of clinical words as well, killed it for me.

I can't finish it.
From the get go seemed very interesting. But as I listened on it plays out just as in Gladiator (great movie btw top 20) with some sex, but it's ftb. I get where the author is trying to go, but damn. I cannot get into this book. Definitely don't recommend.

Story
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.
