Story
First published in 1843, it tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean and unpleasant man who dislikes people generally and Christmas especially. One Christmas Eve he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come and given a glimpse of the many homes and lives which Scrooge has touched in his wretched life to date. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.

Beautiful story, beautifully read.

One of my favourite classic stories wonderfully read by Hugh Grant. He has always been one of my favourite actors but his rendering of this story shows amazing range (maybe even underutilized in his comedic work).

Story
Tom Felton’s adolescence was anything but ordinary. His early rise to fame in beloved films like The Borrowers catapulted him into the limelight, but nothing could prepare him for what was to come after he landed the iconic role of the Draco Malfoy, the bleached blonde villain of the Harry Potter movies. For the next ten years, he was at the center of a huge pop culture phenomenon and yet, in between filming, he would go back to being a normal teenager trying to fit into a normal school. Speaking with great candor and his signature humor, Tom shares his experience.

If you love the Harry Potter books and movies, you’ll love this audiobook. Felton tells his life story with humour and pathos and there’s a million backstage tidbits that will delight and fascinate. Made me laugh out loud several times and maybe cry a bit too. Definitely a few hours well spent with a lovely person.

Story
James Hillman's A Blue Fire burns through the entire range of his life's work in this lecture. Recorded during a seminar weekend in Rowe, Massachusetts, this talk is a conflagration of ideas. The result is Hillman revisions himself, his work, and archetypal psychology.

A very accessible introduction to Hillmans ideas, delivered with lucidity and humour. Not your average depth psychologist, he turns all our ideas of wellness and growth on their ear.
