This is a beautifully written book and can relate to a good part of it, being the same age and having the same interests and also being one of those kids whose interests were nature, wildlife, birds, art and roaming the countryside and hated just about everything boys were supposed to be doing. The dread and hell of school sports and fanatical obsession with football and the like. A great listen and anxiously awaiting the continuation of the story.

Story
In 2020, writer and campaigner Guy Shrubsole moved from London to Devon. As he explored the wooded valleys, rivers and tors of Dartmoor, Guy discovered a spectacular habitat that he had never encountered before: temperate rainforest. Entranced, he would spend the coming months investigating the history, ecology and distribution of rainforests across England, Wales and Scotland. Britain, Guy discovered, was once a rainforest nation. This is the story of a unique habitat that has been so ravaged, most people today don’t realise it exists.

I’ve always been fascinated by the places and as the author desperately points out we need to let them expand naturally and in many cases give them a helping hand.

Join Sophie Pavelle on a low-carbon journey around Britain in search of ten animals and habitats threatened by climate change in the 21st century. Like many of her generation, Sophie Pavelle is determined to demand action on climate change. In her hilarious and thought-provoking first audiobook, she describes the trips she took to see ten rare native species: species that could disappear by 2050 and be forgotten by the end of the century if their habitats continue to decline.

But when the heir to the throne is assassinated in the presence of Captain Sam Wyndham and Sergeant "Surrender-Not" Banerjee, they discover a kingdom riven with suppressed conflict. Loved the first two books narrated by Malk Williams, he does a fantastic job and has become that character. Now for the but - Audible why on earth did you have Simon Bubb narrate the third installment???! I have nothing against Mr. Bubb but he is completely wrong for the part. I could not listen.
Please bring back Malk Williams.

Story
Bringing Back the Beaver is farmer-turned-ecologist Derek Gow’s inspirational and often riotously funny firsthand account of how the movement to rewild the British landscape with beavers has become the single most dramatic and subversive nature conservation act of the modern era. Since the early 1990s - in the face of outright opposition from government, landowning elites, and even some conservation professionals - Gow has imported, quarantined, and assisted the reestablishment of beavers in waterways across England and Scotland.
