I don’t get the people who don’t like Holly’s character - she’s a treasure! And for the MAGAts who whine about the novel being truthful - you’re once again telling on your own stupidity. Stew in it.

Great story by Koontz. Great narration by Ballerini. The girl narrator was awful. Mispronounced words, unnatural delivery seemingly unaware of what she’s reading, just awful. Koontz and Ballerini make it otherwise quite enjoyable.

Is our perception of time merely a false, simplistic construct our brains have created because our limited ability to experience true reality, as opposed to the one our minds create, is too constrained? Does the passage of time even exist or is that a waking dream untethered to physics?

“Recursion” explores our relationship with time through our individual and shared conscious memories. If a memory could launch a new reality, what would happen to our current selves? to the world?

The end seemed rushed, in a hurry to wrap things up. Maybe a deadline was looming.

Four Dark Stories

This collection includes four very dark stories about murder, rape, greed, secret lives, and the parts of ourselves we don’t admit exist but lurk not too far below the surface and can be brought out by twists of fate. Craig Watson and Jessica Hecht both lend realistic and believable narration to alternating tales with male or female protagonists. Great listen!

Good story but the performance is literally just read in a low, monotone, almost whispered voice. Hard to listen to, harder to keep interest up. Listening is work with this performance.
