Story
David Crader is a has-been. A former child actor from the hit teen drama Rev Beach, he now rotates between his new roles as deadbeat dad, part-time alcoholic, and occasional videogame voice actor. But when David is summoned to Los Angeles by Grace, his ex-wife and former co-star, he suddenly sees an opportunity for a reboot—not just of the show that made him famous, but also of his listless existence.

Not sure how to write this up. There is so much to enjoy in this story, it’s hard to pick any one element. But the alliteration and creative ability of the author leaves one’s ears and mind in a state of awe.
There were a few twists and turns that caught me off guard and made me chuckle. Its heartwarming theme is one that resonated with me, especially the parts about my own glory days. Parts of the story hit really close to home, making me consider my own Reboot.
Definitely worth the read.

Another smash
Reviewed: 09-22-24
Jack Carr does it again! The terminal list has been an amazing series thus far. Again we see James Reese and his natural element. Kicking ass and taking names. But what seems to be new, is the exploratory work of the author. I do not know if we will see James Reese again. The end of the book is a good stopping point but it still leaves enough ambiguity for a follow on.
In this installment of the terminal list, the author reveals his literary prowess. We see not only his command of tactical skills that he is so known for, but also the depths of his literary knowledge. The proof of which we see from the opening paragraph through the end of the book.
If this is in fact, the end of James Reese, then it has been a magnificent series for the character. As a reader and as a burgeoning writer, I can’t wait to see what Jack comes up with next.

Uncomfortable Tension
Reviewed: 07-24-24
This was a little bit difficult to get to. It takes a while to get to the insight incident, but once you do, you will find yourself in a place of uncomfortable tension. This book feels like a cross between the great Gatsby and the talented Mr. Ripley. I don’t know that I would call it a thrill ride, but it was certainly an interesting book.
As a sidenote, I completed this book as part of a prerequisite for school. And therefore have the book on both audio and on my Kindle.

This is the first book that I have read by Robert Dugoni. It was brilliantly done. The combination of mystery and backstory was absolutely flawless. The two were weaved in a concurrent manner that leaves no question where the story is or where it is going.

This one was a little tough to get through. It was painfully slow on the start. But typical of David Baldacci by the mid point it really picks up steam and suspense. I’m glad I finished, it is another great story by David.

I have a fan of Melinda Leigh, I’m almost ashamed to say that I’ve been going through her books in the wrong sequence. This was a foundation book for the other series that follow.
As a burgeoning writer myself, I took a lot of notes from this book. It is the complete package. Mystery, romance, excitement, and crime. This was a phenomenal read.

This one was a little bit more predictable than what I’ve come to expect from Melinda. However, I will say it was a lot of fun being able to put this one together before the resolution.
The best part of this book really was the ending. I’ve been waiting for that for the last three books and Melinda did not disappoint. I cannot wait to get started on book 5.

They Keep getting better

On the edge of my seat with this one. I had suspicions at the beginning, but I didn’t expect that climax. Just Wow. Melinda dose a great job of keeping you guessing. The number of clues are so plausible I had three main suspects in my mind the whole time. But Melinda really threw me for a loop at the end.
Melinda does an amazing job of weaving enough evidence to keep you going, but she keeps so many threads running you don’t know which way to turn.
What an awesome book!
