When a small-time criminal named Harold Lee turns up in the Ashokan Reservoir - sans a heartbeat, head, or hands - the local mafia capo hires Isaiah Coleridge to look into the matter. The mob likes crime, but only the crime it controls...and as it turns out, Lee is the second independent contractor to meet a bad end on the business side of a serrated knife. One such death can be overlooked. Two makes a man wonder.

The plot sounded promising in the beginning, but after the "outline" it just went downhill.
All over the place, no real story and poorly written. Long sections of blabbering on for nothing.

The story was not what I expected at all, but I enjoyed it. A bit of a mystery with romance mixed in.
Loved that she went on her trip and became stronger and stood up for herself.
I did not see that twist coming.

The country is reeling. For the sixth time in American history, the winner of the popular vote will not occupy the Oval Office. President Malcolm MacLeod, the Machiavellian incumbent, was spared from impeachment only because his political foes were certain they would oust him at the ballot box. Now, he appears to have secured a second term, thanks to a narrow victory in the Electoral College.

I will not read one of her books again, I read thrillers, not love stories
Boring in that way, the little bit of a mystery was ok

The book was very predictable
Reviewed: 09-11-22
I don't know if it is because I read so much in this genre, but I found the book very predictable. In the first chapter I said, ok, something is going to happen to his team and he will be blamed, The same with what happened on the farm. I don't want to give away spoilers here, but you could see everything coming.
It is also so boring that the women are always the most stunningly beautiful and the guys are always so big, and don't go down in a fight . . . . blah, blah blah, same old, same old
Very disappointing and a boring storyline
I can already tell you what will happen in book 2.

Dolly Parton is so much more than just the hair. She is an amazing businesswoman and a gentle soul.
I loved the story of her life through the music she wrote and the process of writing is amazing.
She is obviously super talented, the fact that she can write about so many topics and so quickly.
I loved all the stories and her laughing at herself and the process.
Hats off to an amazing lady!

Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. It was exceptional, and amazing to have all the emotional and personal stuff in there as well. The humour throughout the book was a hoot. Two books in one is not easy to do, but you never felt as if you didn't know where you were, both timelines were expertly executed. Only Mark Greaney could have achieved this
