Story
It began on New Year’s Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world’s population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place.

A clear story line would be nice. This book seems to have nothing be descriptions of running gun battles. which is fine but needs development of story.

Story
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Story line very good. Performance Awful. Sad.

Would you try another book from Thomas A. Watson and/or Eric Davidson?
I have read The Forgotten Forbidden America series and The Dark Titan series. Both Series had very good narrators. I'm surprised more care was not taken to secure a talented narrator.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Bruce and Mike.
Would you be willing to try another one of Eric Davidson’s performances?
No.
Do you think Blue Plague: The Fall needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes with a different narrator. Personally I don't enjoy listening to Eric Davidson.

Disappointed - I didn't finish listening
Reviewed: 07-27-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
More in depth and a better plot
Did Saskia Maarleveld do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Saskia used too much of a sexy voice instead of talking normally.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No
Any additional comments?
This is not the Julie Garwood that I know. I don't know what has happened, but I miss her historical novels and even the in depth and funny plots of Mercy, Killjoy, and many other current day novels. Very disappointed. Her writing has gone down hill or someone else is writing for her. Not Good!!
