Story
The quest for social justice is a powerful crusade of our time, with an appeal to many different people, for many different reasons. But those who use the same words do not always present the same meanings. Clarifying those meanings is the first step toward finding out what we agree on and disagree on. From there, it is largely a question of what the facts are. Social Justice Fallacies reveals how many things that are thought to be true simply cannot stand up to documented facts, which are often the opposite of what is widely believed.

Solid, compelling, voice of reason
Reviewed: 10-13-23
I hope i am half as sharp at 73 as Thomas Sowell is at 93! The content is well thought out and compelling. Facts and data are used to point out many holes in the Social Justice narrative. I wish there more voices of reason like this reaching the public. May others continue to have the courage to speak out with intellectual honesty, as Sowell has for decades.

Generally good. Had many helpful reminders. "Hurts, habits, and hang-ups" is fine at points, but biblical theological integrity demands we call it what it is - sin. Sin is the root problem.

Story
Ulysses S. Grant's life has typically been misunderstood. All too often he is caricatured as a chronic loser and an inept businessman or as the triumphant but brutal Union general of the Civil War. But these stereotypes don't come close to capturing him, as Chernow reveals in his masterful biography, the first to provide a complete understanding of the general and president whose fortunes rose and fell with dizzying speed and frequency.
