I Praise this Author
Reviewed: 04-11-13
This author took on a very complicated project that included several important issues that in themselves would be difficult to write about and do it well. Ms. Flaherty has done this brilliantly.
She has created strong characters who experience challenges and face them with humor as well as bravery.
A book that could have been depressing is in fact extremely entertaining.
I highly recommend this one.

Excellant cure for insomnia

Can't say whether the story had any value because the narrator's maple sirup voice and the overwhelming amount of useless information kept putting me to sleep. I do not recommend this book.

Romantic mystery at its best. Excellent historical novel. This is the first novel I have read from this author but it won't be the last.

Story
Stone Creek veterinarian Olivia O’Ballivan communicates easily with animals, but men are another story. Especially rugged architect-turned-rancher Tanner Quinn. Olivia’s uncanny bond with his daughter Sophie’s pony, Butterpie, has him questioning her sanity, while she wonders if he’s not just a drugstore cowboy.

Too much fantasy
Reviewed: 08-20-12
Way to much fantasy ruins what might have been a good story. Take the Santa Clause out of it and it would be worth reading.

Wow!

No book is perfect, but this one comes close. In the first 10 minutes it had me hooked. One weakness in lots of these books is the 'love interest' comes at the beginning and the story goes from there. That doesn't happen here and it adds interest. Great book.
