Story
It’s been three years since Lee Harden emerged from his bunker into a world gone mad. Governments have fallen. And new ones have taken their place. In the United Eastern States, Lee and his team of battle-hardened operatives walk a tightrope of survival, keeping their fledgling society safe from the creatures beyond their gates - and from the enemies within. Then, an ambush in hostile territory reveals a traitor in their midst - and leaves Lee barely clinging to life. Wounded and on the run, Lee and his team race to uncover the leak before it’s too late.

The story is great, progression sometimes stagnant.

Lee Harden doesn’t know the definition of giving up. Great story, capture of veteran emotions, and character development. Sometimes feels stagnant in the storytelling, but it’s not bad. Started with the Remaining Series and the combat veteran mindset kept me wanting more.

Story
The vast road network of Honce, completed a decade before, had brought great optimism to the people of the land. Commerce could travel more freely and so could armies, and those armies, it was hoped, would rid the land at long last of the vicious, bloody cap dwarfs and goblins. For the first time, the many individual kingdoms, the holdings of Honce, would be brought closer together, perhaps even united.

It is God's year 54, many years before the Demon Wars, in the land of Corona. The roads are unsafe to travel; goblins and bloodthirsty Powries search out human prey. Two religions struggle fiercely for control. Bran Dynard, a monk of the fledgling religion of Abelle, returns from his mission in a faroff land with a book of mystical knowledge and a beautiful and mysterious new wife. But he soon realizes that the world he left behind has changed, and his dream of spreading the wisdom he learned to his fellow monks is crushed.

Story
It Worked for Me is filled with vivid experiences and lessons learned that have shaped the legendary career of the four-star general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. At its heart are Powell's "Thirteen Rules" - such as "Get mad, then get over it" and "Share credit" - that introduce his principles for effective leadership: conviction, hard work, and, above all, respect for others. A natural storyteller, Powell offers warm and engaging parables with wise advice on succeeding in the workplace and beyond.

To hear Gen Powell’s journey, thoughts, and insights were wonderful to hear. His ownership in the good or bad is a reflection of his leadership.
A great thanks to his staff, family, friends, and colleagues - you helped make his stories worthy.

Good Listen & Motivational; Why No Sources?
Reviewed: 10-28-23
I would’ve been more captivated and impressed, if they provided the Resources they constantly quote and reference (e.g. Harvard Studies, Academic Journals, ec certra).
Instead, it’s a audiobook of motivation to re-define terminology and a nutrition/fitness guide like all the others it claims to differ from.
It’s a good listen and helped motivate. If you’re going to debunk and quote for argumentative persuasion, while providing the PDF for support, provide your sources for credibility. Otherwise, it’s a falling into the same category of those you aim to debunk.

Story
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Of course the book is better than the movie, because it gives the full story behind the movie lines. It gives you a dose of Chris Kyle’s reality and mindset from day one. We lost a true American Hero.
