this author does a great job of exploring what the Bible has to say about women. He properly refutes patriarchy and unhealthy teaching about the subordination of women. Although I come from a Complimentarian background, this is a work I highly recommend and agree with!

love the book. read it years ago. decided to listen to it to refresh my memory. I must say, I was not a fan of the reader. He honestly sounded computer generated. I almost returned the book due to the voice.

I can't recommend this enough! Anne's story is compelling and authentic. If you're not Catholic, don't let that aspect of her faith journey turn you away. This is a Christ centered story of conversion and faith!

Andrew Murray brings humility to the forefront of our consideration and helps us realize how basic it is to being a follower of Christ. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Rachael tells this story in a powerful way. She turns over stone after stone, telling how some members of law enforcement, coaches, USAG leadership, politicians, and others had opportunities to stop Nasser, but did not. She breaks down the institutional problems that perpetuated the abuse (and still do) and shows why it is all too often difficult for a victim to come forward and report their abuse. This needs to be read, and we need to stare in the face of this evil. We need to confront this terrible reality and change it! READ THIS BOOK!

I enjoyed the Abolition of Man more, probably because I could understand his argument easier. it's a profound work that is maybe even more relevant today than when it was written. He deals intelligently with our cultural tendency toward relativism and a removal of anything absolute upon which to base our decisions. I highly recommend it!
the Great Divorce will require me to listen again and no doubt read the print copy. it's a deep work in which we are confronted with eternity, our small self-centered bent and a need to become Christ centered.
