Classic Richard Fox. A layered story driven by action and invisible, story driving exposition. HIGHLY recommend.

Story fatigue is not what happens in this installment of the Thor storyline. The idea for a pause in this story is a reloading and rearmament. Loved what the writers did with this! Highly recommend. 5 stars across the board.

For anyone who’s read the Ember War series, the end of the story is known. That said, this story was surprisingly satisfying. There are a couple of parts where I laughed. Because humans at the end will be humans.
It’s classic Ember Wars. Lots of action. Lots of battles. Lots of human moments. The trick to writing a book like this is to not leave the reader bummed out, and it didn’t. I was surprised, considering the large body canon Ember War has, and this story was on point. It’s been years since the first Ember Wars book was written, and there were little details easily forgotten but were not.
Five stars across the board. Luke Daniels, as always narrated this superbly. Highly recommend. Share with friends.

This was a satisfying end of a story. No spoilers, but it had me in the feels.
Action was on point, every fight scene. The character endings were in keeping with the pitch and timbre of the Ember War Universe.
I think the narrator (Garrett Brown) was aces for this storyline. 5 stars across the board.

The pre Ember War story is grittier than the main series, but in keeping with a military closer to our time.
Well written, well performed, and worth the time.

Sometimes, series can turn stale. This DID NOT HAPPEN with High Value Target. The authors either have story elves whispering the story to them, or they have all the skills. It was need a comet ride that was as fun as the first book in this series.
5 stars all three categories. Highly recommend muchly.

As I’m usually jaded and an author wades into an existing series not written by them, this was a solid entry into the Galaxy’s Edge franchise. Very entertained. Not lack of action, no lack of story. Good stuff, Highly recommend.

I got this book because of the author. Not my normal cup of tea but Jason Anspach doesn’t disappoint in the fun and atmospheric ghost ride. Very entertaining and fun.
