Story
At the tender age of twelve, Jaleel White auditioned for the role of Steve Urkel, the socially inept genius, who was in love with his next-door neighbor, Laura. Though Steve Urkel was intended to be in only one episode, Jaleel’s indelible performance catapulted Urkel into the pantheon of American pop culture. But success can cost as much as it pays. After nine years on the popular sitcom Family Matters, Jaleel is twenty-one, a UCLA undergrad, and adjusting to a world and industry that sees him as the nasally nerd in high water pants, suspenders, and coke bottle glasses.

A good book. A mixed bag of contradictions.

Matthew Perry did a great job as narrating. There's not a lot of people I can listen to on any form of audiobook without losing interest. I did not lose interest here. One of my biggest issues is him constantly talking about God and also being an admirer of Christopher Hitchens. Everyone knows that Christopher Hitchens was a rabid atheist and yet Matthew Perry respects him more than his brother whom I think is a believer in God. I would have to listen to the entire interview between him and Christopher hitchens's brother to decide for myself whether it was cruelty or it was just Matthew Perry overreacting. I'm not a big fan of calling addictions a disease. I think addictions are simply addictions. Parkinson's is a disease. Cancer is a disease. Heart disease is a disease. The term disease seems to be a way of making an excuse for what you personally do yourself, to yourself. I do think that Matthew Perry was excellent in After Camelot portraying Ted Kennedy. you will notice in the miniseries that he did have a Kennedy accent but it was very slight. I think that was the right move. plus he looks like Ted Kennedy. Probably the best depiction I've seen besides the real thing.

Good but disappointing. Disney films require more in depth info. Lacking "Behind the scenes" stuff. What was it like working with Dean Jones? William Demarest? She focuses too much on Pollyanna and Parent Trap and leaves the others behind. As a classic Disney fan I expected a lot more.

Story
In 1936, Bruno Richard Hauptmann was executed for the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh Jr. Almost all of America believed Hauptmann guilty; only a few magazines and tabloids published articles questioning his conviction. In the ensuing decades, many books about the Lindbergh case have been published. Some have declared Hauptmann the victim of a police conspiracy and frame-up, and one posited that Lindbergh actually killed his own son and fabricated the entire kidnapping to mask the deed.

Some of the other band members slept around with anyone and everyone, got STDs. Many of them were raging drunks. Screwed over family members etc. Got women pregnant, paid them off.
