I got this book because I’m a comic book fan and the X-Men has been my favorite since I was a kid. This particular storyline is one of my favorites. This book remains very close to the comic story.

I did read one review with the person commented that he liked the cartoon adaptation with Bishop. I will agree. The cartoon version was good as well. Bishop, Cable and Wolverine had me hyped when it was shown 20+ years ago, but the cartoon adaptation was not the original storyline, this audiobook is. The original Days of Future Past comes from Uncanny X-Men volume# 141 and 142. I would recommend checking those two out so you have a visual reference of what happened in this book. Just an fyi, the comic was created in a time when the hair and clothing styles were completely different from today. Cheers!

I read many reviews from the first book of people who read another book written by Hopper and narrated by Bray who had a similar storyline with an identical character to “Phantom Lord.” It was because of this they chose not to continue reading the rest of this specific storyline. If this is true I also would not continue this story, but I didn’t read those other books they spoke of and I am happy I didn’t. I am throughly enjoying Ruins of the Earth storyline and can wait to listen to books 3-6. I recommend Ruins of the Earth and Gods and Men.

I read this book when I was a kid and very much enjoyed it. Now that I listen to the story, it doesn’t capture me as before. It felt like it was going on forever. Christian Rummel is my favorite narrator on Audible, yet even his many voices couldn’t bring enjoyment—four stars for the story but three overall.

Well, once again, another rinse and repeat Alien Story involving Ellen Ripley. I like the discovery of the newly discovered underground ship. The discovery of an alien race is always exciting. But the responses that continue to play the aliens franchise with people who understand what is attacking them what is growing out of a friends body and the continued drive to keep them with you when you know that they’re going to change and Kaylee it’s just mine numbingly dumb.

I don’t know after following several of Ripleys exploits if she’s bad ass and horny or she’s just bad ass for continued placement of Ripley and some cool guy that she just meets and the continued seductive conversation between him makes me wonder WTF is she that sexy and exciting? No! It seems Ripley can never be placed in an environment and the stories were hurt and then leave mail I just trying to figure out a way to escape their doom rather than some Magnetic force pulling them together, blah blah blah.

With this being said I do like the premise of the story and Wood it enjoy seeing this in the theater minus the bad choices the writer continues to grow in the way of Survivors in order to keep tension amongst Within the story. It’s almost as if they were either comes up with an original way of writing aliens but they’re in a higher power Power forces them to change it to fit into Hollywood tired formulaic system.

Bray has such a monotone reading voice that oddly enough keeps me interested and in this book works very, very well. I got past the first book but will not move on to the rest of the series. It could get better but I don't think it will, for me.

It was hard to figure out who was the lead was as several characters seemed to have a good basic story fleshed out only to come to an end not long after. It happened enough for me to not care about who the story might focus on next. Also, although it took me a bit to get my head wrapped around an unstoppable laughing zombies hoard with full knowledge and understanding of military tactics. Eventually, I was able to relax into the notion. For that many losses in the short span of time in the book, I couldn't see how they could be stopped outside of a major military strike short of nukes.

I liked this spin on the horror genre. It makes an interesting story when the character is up against an infected who can run as fast and hard as you can and will keep coming relentlessly in contrast to Romero's staggering lumbering zombie who catches you because in your haste to get away have tripped on a random branch on the road and you've twisted your ankle so bad the other leg has become paralyzed by association.

I feel I cannot say more than what I thought in the beginning; brilliant idea further flesh out by extending the Star Wars world utilizing minor characters who were touched by the main story. That is the way you continue to expand the Star Wars lore. ingenious!

The story was very enjoyable, though not so much more than the series by D.J. Molles. I thought I wouldn't enjoy it too much and was happy to find that I was wrong. It seems a thin line between greed and fanaticism in this book and made it good to read both sides.

The thanks to those who are involved in the portions of truths with this book made me think about the history of the human race and what lay ahead. With so much going on these days it makes one wonder.

D. J. Molles has struck a chord with me on this series and I will be sad to see it go as his defining of the characters and the twist of the antagonist(s) is simply a wonder to read and see where Lee and his growing bonds take us.
