The book starts with mentioning scrum for a minute - then talking about blockchain. This continues in each of the following chapters: ½ a minute of scrum then blockchain talk. Must be some kind of con. Also - most of the (many) positive reviews seem to be fabricated.

Yes, its a must-read. There is the villain, the hero, the princess in distress, the cunning plot and escape... all the elements. At the same time it gives a good view into the time of the novels writing.

Ann Swinfen has done it again. A good book that took me to medieval 14th century English countryside - both letting me expirience a hunting and country setting and a good mystery.

Well written historical account - not only of the life Jedediah Smith, but of the wetern furtrade and early western exploration. Full of many interesting details about voyages, trapping & trapping brigades, descriptions of known and famous characters of the time. Great book!

A somewhat short, but still good walkthrough about the few known facts on John Colters life and achievements. Few things are known about the very early part of his life, and somewhat more is known about his late years, so the emphasis is naturally on his life from the time of Lewis & Clark expedition till he settles down with a spouse.

Cool novel, full of yokai and suspense. A fantasy Pseudo-Japanese setting, that is by no means boring.

...but could be much better. Too many "classic concepts" stirred into this pot without giving it an own voice. Entertaining but also a bit flat, with characters that have not enough depth.
