I don’t care about the estate or how one maintains it, or how its tenants live, or how a million of sisters-in-law behave, or how the leading man’s brother is a drunk, or anything else about which the author goes on and on and on oh so tediously. This is by far one of the worst books in the genre that I’ve ever read and I once read a book where the leading female character was raped by someone before the guy’s eyes at the very end of the book for no reason at all, and I can safely say, this one is worse. Because at least that other one had SOME action, while this one is flat, boring and lacks any romance whatsoever, so it shouldn’t even belong to the genre.

Couldn’t finish because of the narrator

What was the narrator thinking making the main heroine’s voice sound so terrible! It’s like she’s doing a wicked step sister voice. Couldn’t even finish it.
