Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

The Narration

The story and main character were great, totally held my interest. Kate Burton the narrator was outstanding! She totally brought the characters to life. Scottoline is a terrific author whose books are serious drama.. but she sneaks in so much subtle humor. I love her!

Samantha is a professional seductress and con artist with a heart of gold. It’s hell on her social life. Abe is the doctor and Sam's partner in crime. He isn’t much of a criminal. Except for the kidney stealing. But he’s using that money to fund his research that he anticipates will be able to cure diabetes. So, all for a good cause...? You decide. Of course, it's hell on his social life.

Story
Samson and Beyah have nothing in common on the surface. She comes from a life of poverty and neglect; he comes from a family of wealth and privilege. But one thing they do have in common is that they're both drawn to sad things. Which means they're drawn to each other. Beyah and Samson agree to stay in the shallow end of a summer fling. What Beyah doesn't realize is that a rip current is coming, and it's about to drag her heart out to sea.

Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

I loved the story but I was distracted by the male narrator’s voice . It didn’t fit the characters he was representing plus with the crazy twist in the story his voice was the same for the protagonist and the antagonist which made it very confusing to follow.

Many of the stories are lame and predictable. Only a couple really held my interest. Long 19 hours. Lots of very graphic sex which is fine but after a while “ enough already!”
