Some valid points, but definitely has communistic and agnostic tones. Also seems hypocritical in condemning fossil fuels while flying and driving 40 miles to an office. Very content to tell everyone else what they should be doing, like your garden variety liberal.

The action takes place between Texas and California, but the story is mainly centered around New Mexico. Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista is a sequel to Enemies Foreign and Domestic, but it may be enjoyed on its own.

Struggled through a near monotone presentation for 7 chapters. I would enjoy the book I think, if it was read by an enthusiastic and more experienced reader.

A great resource for students to use to impress with statistics. Not a remarkable book for listening to. I got what I was looking for out of this book; but not without periods of mind numbing drowsiness from stats and names. It does prove my theory that the US will create the same system as communists further embed the pillars of communism into American life.

Save the time and money and skip this one. Narrator was mediocre, guitar chords between chapters was annoying, plot and subplots were eh.
The book moved the series along, but it’s really nothing you won’t pick up if you skip this one for the next in the series.
Disappointed in the production overall. If you like plain vanilla, this might be for you.

Story
When a county employee is found shot to death in sun-drenched daylight while sitting in his county road grader, Undersheriff Bill Gastner is faced with puzzling questions. The simplest explanation - that an errant bullet from a careless target shooter's rifle blew out Larry Zipoli's brains - is soon discarded as inconsistencies surface. The fatal bullet shows no rifling marks, an investigation reveals that the shooter walked directly toward the road grader, in full view of the victim - who did nothing to defend himself.

It’s too bad
Reviewed: 10-12-19
I’ve now listened to all but one of the books in this series. I’m saving the last one for a while. Well.. Really I haven’t listened to all the books. I got started listening to this series, forming characters in my imagination, based on Rusty Nelson’s voice, inflections, and cadence. When the narrator was subbed out or replaced, the story seems to start over, reforming characters in my imagination. That sucks, so I’ve listened in a broken series with at least the same characters in my mind. It’s too bad I couldn’t finish the series, but it definitely saves me $$ I guess. It’s too bad.

Changed narrator, I quit listening
Reviewed: 10-04-19
The narrator forms characters in the listeners minds. When you change narrators mid series, you wreck the characters in the listeners imagination. Stephanie Brush demolishes Bill Gastners character in my imagination. Now I will quit listening to this series, or at least listen to the books read by Rusty. Too bad too at $13 a pop.
