Story
I played all those cool video games. I watched all those movies. I even read the books. In most of 'em, the hero shoots the bad guys, drives a sweet car, never gets hungry, and always seems to get laid by the end. Yeah. Whatever. I gotta be straight with you about why I wrote this journal, and it comes down to one thing, the apocalypse kinda sucks. It doesn’t meet my expectations at all.

He's the driver for Annalise Powliss, a high-ranking member of the Twenty Palace Society, a group of sorcerers devoted to hunting down and executing rogue magicians. But because Ray betrayed her once, Annalise is looking for an excuse to kill him - or let someone else do the job. Unfortunately for both of them, Annalise's next mission goes wrong, leaving her critically injured. With the little magic he controls, Ray must complete her assignment alone.

Any additional comments?
If you like the Dresden Files series you should like this one as well. The story is told by the main character Ray Lilly. Ray is a an ex-con who takes up the cause despite himself. You learn a little bit about the origins behind his boss Analise but she doesn't tell Ray much of anything so he stumbles through situation after situation trying to do his best and to help people all the while trying to find out what is going on. I didn't care much for the end as they drive off into the sunset but their reasons for being in town were done and all the loose ends wrapped up. I want the next book. I have questions. I want to learn more. The story read well, and has an intensity that lingers, I want more.
I don't see the next book in the series but hope that they will decide to add it so I can listen to it.

Story
As a private investigator specializing in paranormal problems, London Eyer thought she could handle working for the Sidhe. They couldn’t be any worse than vampires or werewolves or wizards, could they? Oh, how wrong she was. One 'Touch' of Sidhe magic and she was cursed. Her only chance to survive is to serve the creep that cursed her against the vicious Changelings out for his blood.

Would you try another book from S. A. Archer and S. Ravynheart and/or S.A. Archer and S. Ravynheart ?
I will not buy another book in this series.
Has Cursed turned you off from other books in this genre?
This is a Genre that I enjoy reading I will continue to explore new authors.
How could the performance have been better?
This story needed professional story tellers, the authors inexperience showed. The male author sound a bit tinny but that may not have been his fault, I don't know the particulars of producing an audio book.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I was disappointed in this story. The over all concept was fine but the story was too short to really allow you to get to know the characters, and while the story told the basic history the relationship of the different factions they didn't really take the story anywhere and the set up for future stories fell short. I'm curious to what happend to Ricco and the other fey with him but not enough to buy the next story to find out. Also, this story begins as though they will have a strong female lead but she doesn't show enough experience in her field and is quickly enslaved which isn't interesting in and of itself.
Any additional comments?
The authors seem to be inexperienced writers and would benefit from a (possibly new?) editor/representative.

What did you love best about The Woods Out Back?
I was able to identify with the Gary, I too spend a lot of time in fantasy and you just can't help but wonder what if?
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Woods Out Back?
During the first battle with the trolls Gary is magicked into a log by Mickey. He ends up with troll footprints running up his armor.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator had difficulty getting into the characters, accents were dropped or just didn't fit, This is a story I know well and it rankled. The narrator does get better but it takes him a long time.

Well done all the way around.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sheepfarmer’s Daughter to be better than the print version?
No, both versions were very good. - I purchased this in addition to the The Deeds of Paksanarrion, omnibus edition, so I would have an option to listen to it as well as read it.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it may not be possible in all one sitting but I have no problem listening while doing other things and will find the time to finish it.
Any additional comments?
Great story and well told
