This to me is the weakest of the Series to date. There is a sense that the stories are by now declining in quality being increasingly patterned with only a change in setting and some of the more cardboard characters. The usual humor is also largely absent from this book.
The reader gives a reasonable performance but it is hard if not impossible to match the late and wonderful Katherine Kellgren!

Once again Jonathan Cecil brilliantly brings to life Bertie and Jeeves in a series of delightful short stories. Highly recommend. Worth listening to listen again and again!

A wonderful performance by the late Kenneth Williams which is an absolute delight. Williams draws lively imaginative characters which are hilarious. Sure to be a classic!

One of the best audio books I’ve listened to this year. Roosevelt’s fascinating life after the presidency is as remarkable as the preceding years. It is also not without relevance to our current times.

Compelling. Full of intriguing insights into the life of Roosevelt covering the period from his birth onwards and ending just prior to his assumption of the presidency.

A wonderful dramatic realization of the famous diaries. Pepys was a remarkable witness to key events in English history. He writes with enduring humor. His openness reveals a man very much of his time, flaws and all.

Very good performance. However for me the repeated pattern in the collection favoring a more grim but seemingly unlikely event becomes wearing.

Excellent narrativ of this hugely impactful individual in human history. The book feels reasonably balanced and is open about deeds that by today’s standards are shocking. The author endeavors to give context to better understand the events described.

Well worth the listen. KG writes remarkably well. She definitely adds to the performance with lots of chuckles and belly laughs.
