I have read a few dozen business management books. I would compare those books to security guard training vs this book is a bit more like a Navy Seal tactics guide for survival. A very different look at management when things get hard for sure. Ben had to jump and reassemble the airplane before hitting the ground a few times in his experiences.
the section on intimidation is interesting.

One of the most down to earth books of the last 5 years for me and I read around 30 books a year. This book reminded me of when i read Tony Robins. But this is coming from a brick layer wearing jeans and a black shirt. Steve also narrates the book which makes it extra special. Steve gives you the passwords to get to the next level at the end of each chapter, Steve calls this blue fishing. Each chapter gives you a contrarian view that you can apply towards your mission. Steves unique approach makes this book stand out. 5 of 5 stars. Enjoy

I started out with the Audible version then moved onto the Kindle version. I will be giving the physical book to my team leads so that we can track our progress together in a consistent way. This is one of the best business books of all time. Right up there with Toyota management principles. This book moved me as it takes a deeper dive into the earlier days of Google and Intel with Andy Grove. A great read.

I have never listened to a book that has placed me in every scene that describes every detail to make me feel like I am in the story. By the end of the story I felt like I was as close to the characters as my family members. loved the story.

the author pools together various stories from architecture engineering to medicine to flight and shares how a list can be used across Industries to make things better and safer and wiser. I am a very proud owner of a physical book and the audio copy enjoy.

Born for this was totally amazing in as you peel an onion, the author kind of does the same thing to you where you can analyze your self from a totally different perspective. the author does a great job by going deep into your values and what you exist for and how you show up every day. I have not done a review for audible in a while but this book made me stop on my mountain bike and dictate the awesomeness of this book so that others could share the joy.

What did you love best about Zero to One?

The book goes fairly deep into some key points to consider when bringing a start up team together. A good way to avoid conflict is to assign a single task to every team member. You have to stop hoping success will fall in your lap like a winning lottery ticket. You must choose your future and become the driver not the passenger while on this world.

What did you like best about this story?

HP stopped innovating and eventually was purchased, you notice similar patterns with other companies that Peter mentions in the book. To compete in today's market place you have to stay on your toes and innovate or pull over into the slow lane.

Have you listened to any of Blake Masters’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Zero to One?

Go big or go home is the general consensus. You have to put work into starting something, so aim big, like 10 times bigger.
