Story
Jenny didn’t get to be an award-winning, classically trained cellist without choosing practice over fun. That is, until the night she meets Jaewoo. Mysterious, handsome, and just a little bit tormented, Jaewoo is exactly the kind of distraction Jenny would normally avoid. And yet, she finds herself pulled into spending an unforgettable evening wandering Los Angeles with him on the night before his flight home to South Korea.

Fanfic for adults, lol

Look, I used to read fanfics when I was in HS and like my first year of university and I’m very far away from those years now but this book really brought me back and I loved it! I’m just curious to know who the inspiration behind the main Kpop idol was 😂 Anyways, it’s really good, super entertaining and the performance was great!

Story
As a Korean adoptee, Hara Wilson doesn’t need anyone telling her she looks different from her white parents. She knows. Every time Hara looks in the mirror, she’s reminded that she doesn’t look like anyone else in her family - not her loving mother, Ellen; not her jerk of a father, Pat; and certainly not like Pat’s new wife and new “real son.

Story
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Honestly, I absolutely loved this book, I was so immersed in it I got called out at work because I was too into it, lol BUT totally worth it. The writing is great, Phillipa was amazing at portraying every single character, genuinely a 10/10! I’m excited to follow this writer, definitely looking forward to her work.

Very entertaining
Reviewed: 06-27-20
The only reason I didn’t give the story a 5 star was because I was a bit confused at the beginning trying to keep up with all the characters but at the end I understood why it was done that way. Very sweet and short for anyone wanting to hear something that will touch your heart. When I realized it had ended I was slightly sad because I really liked where it was going, so 9/10 recommend.
