I might give a different book by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche a try

I was looking for meditation instructions and wisdom but he goes on talking and talking
running rounds and rounds but never getting anywhere.
After about an hour and a half of listening I gave up

I love Michael's books because he explains the philosophy of Advita in a way that's easy to understand. But more importantly: he gives practical advice and methods on how to let go and be free.
