About this listen
Ages 11+
Holly Ash is good actor. Just one downside: Most of the people she’s acting with have no idea they’re a part of her fiction. One that has been carefully constructed by the secretive company that Holly works for, known as D.O.P.L. Every assignment is a new role, a new name, a completely new self. Her newest role is “Margot” and her newest target: a boy her age named Will Aldrich.
Will Aldrich has it all. Money. Good looks. A powerful family name. He’s even met a beautiful girl named Margot. But his seemingly perfect life crumbles when he realizes that Margot isn’t who she says she is. She’s working for an organization that’s out to kidnap him. Black vans. Men with guns. But that’s just the beginning. Soon Will discovers something impossible: He has been replaced. Someone has taken over his life. Someone who looks and acts exactly like him.
The mysterious organization behind this plot is doing everything possible to wipe Will out of existence. And the only person who can help him is the same person who led him into this situation: Holly Ash.
Told in chapters that alternate between narrators - Holly and Will - Replaced explores the subjects of technology and identity through a fast-paced futuristic thriller.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. He's surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade - a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze. Like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they came to be there - or what's happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything - even the Grievers, half-machine, half-animal horror that patrol its corridors, to try and find out.

After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Entertaining
So i listen to lee bacon for pure entertainment. If your looking for characters full of substance and personality and a plot that makes some sense, then this is not your book. But if you bored or miserable and need a fun and gripping story thats kinda cheesy which i like sometimes then definitely listen. Also the narration had more to be desired. Also, it was really fun yelling at my ipad the whole time. That was half the fun.

Not Just for Young Adults/Teens
Holly works for a company called D.O.P.L. Clients hire DOPL to rehabilitate friends, family, employees, etc. that have behavior problems. Holly (and others) work to apprehend the target who is then taken to DOPL headquarters for their rehabilitation. Holly only has knowledge of what goes on during her task...she doesn't know what the rehabilitation involves.
Her target for this mission is Will. She befriends Will with the goal of luring him to DOPL. But things go sideways and Holly learns that DOPL is not entirely what she thought, and that people are not being rehabilitated...they are being replaced.
This book is targeted towards teen/young adult, but I absolutely enjoyed it. It is action packed from start to finish without a lot of drama, angst, expletive language or any inappropriate activities for teens. It was just a good read. This is the second book I've listened to by Lee Bacon. When my grand-daughter gets a few years older, I will whole-heartedly recommend both books to her. I plan on reading more of his works and will likely recommend those as well.

The characters were fleshed out and I really felt like I was seeing the story unfolding in front of me. It was captivating and the twists were exciting although a tad predictable. I highly recommend this and cannot express enough how much I enjoyed this.
