If you like a Bit of Hugh & Fry then you will love this. I grew up watching a lot of classic BBC comedy so I was well aware of these two Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry of cause I know them better as The Prince and Captain Melchett from the Blackadder series.
This book had me in stitches and I laughed at all the jokes was very funny and well worth it just proves how funny and what a great team these two make.
If you love these two actors in any of there other comedy roles then this is a must buy no questions asked.

Story
Enter a cruel palindrome world: a symmetric place where disturbing situations displace the common; where good acts transmute to evil ones; where windows and mirrors are interchangeable. Within, characters influence each other through macabre arrangements of involuntary happenstance, and learn the inevitabilities of coincidence. A segmented story of a mother and daughter intertwines the others.

5 Amazing Stories For The Price Of 1
Reviewed: 25-04-2019
This is a book that is made up of 5 shorter stories that make up the final overall theme of the book.
You really need to pay attention because if you get distracted even for a little bit you will completely forget what had happened. You could miss a small detail that adds to the plot and you may find yourself like I did re-listening to the chapter before to refresh myself with the story. As far as stories go this is very suspenseful and had me always on my feet wanting to know more.
The characters are well written I really like how they are based on pretty much everyday people that you could know. The characters are very relatable and that is what makes a good story when for any reason you can relate to a character.
I have to say the narration by.....is perfect for this story and fits with the flow of the story its well spoken and crystal clear I even enjoyed the added voice work for other characters nice tit'sh his voice is made for thriller like this.
I loved how nothing was predictable I was always guessing and that makes a good story you don't want to predict everything that just becomes boring. You will leave this story questioning what's real and what's just your imagination.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who loves stories that the can relate to or someone who loves a good suspense keep you on your toes kind of book.

Bruce Campbell CLASSIC COMEDY in Book form
Reviewed: 25-04-2019
I was over the moon when I saw that Bruce had written his own books and even more narrated it and
since he wrote this book we get a lot of info on what his career was like before and after the cult classics.
In pure Bruce style you get a lot of funny stories that are just added to the experience by having the man himself tell you the stories.
I love how this book feels like one long interview with Bruce however there was only one question and it was "Tell me about your life"
if you love Bruce you would very much enjoy the book after all its like listening to an interview with Bruce.

Billy Connolly may be a citizen of the world, but in his heart he's never been far from his homeland. Made in Scotland is Billy's unique and intimate portrait of his native Scotland, a love letter to the places and people that made him. It's an adventure inspired by a single incident: the moment Billy received his Knighthood and was asked, 'How does it feel to have achieved all this when you came from nothing?' His response was, 'But I did come from something!'

Having been a fan of Billy Connolly for over 13 years now I thought I knew all there was to know. I have watched all his live performances and the documentaries he has made including Around The World Tour Series.
I have even read the two books written by his wife however listening to this book was different because instead of being told Billy like by someone else were getting told by the man himself.
I really enjoyed this book and well worth your time and like myself you may learn a thing or two you didn't know.

Story
John Farnham is the quintessential Aussie legend. As a teenager he gave up an apprenticeship to chase his musical dreams, hitting the big time with the catchy pop ditty 'Sadie (the Cleaning Lady)'. But it wasn't smooth sailing from there. A family man at heart and the most loyal of friends, John was sometimes uncomfortable with the spotlight and for many years struggled to make his music career as successful as those close to him - including Glenn Wheatley and Molly Meldrum - could see it could be.

In his first-ever Doctor Who novel, Tom Baker’s incredible imagination is given free rein. A story so epic it was originally intended for the big screen, Scratchman is a gripping, white-knuckle thriller almost 40 years in the making. The Doctor, Harry and Sarah Jane Smith arrive at a remote Scottish island when their holiday is cut short by the appearance of strange creatures - hideous scarecrows who are preying on the local population. The islanders are living in fear, and the Doctor vows to save them all.

It's one of the rare moments where I wish this film was made Tom Baker did an amazing job writing this movie it was very well written.
The whole time I was listening I was getting images of how the movie would of looked and Tom made it even more seem real coz his narration was spoken in first person whenever he was talking about The Doctor.
If you want classic Doctor Who, Classic Tom Baker or even just a dark story with scarecrows and farmers then this is the story for you plus you get Harry, Sarah Janes what more could you want.

I love The Phantom Of The Opera and I'm also a fan of Big Finish so when I saw they did a drama version of one of my all-time favourite books it was a no brainer buy
I will say right off the bat every voice actor did a great job portraying their characters and I loved the voice of The Phantom. My only issue is I wanted it to be longer I felt it wasn't as long as it could have been but apart from that WELL DONE.
I felt like I was watching a true movie version only with my eyes closed.

Freddie Mercury Though The Eyes Of A Friend
Reviewed: 16-04-2019
AMAZING, I have been watching a lot about Queen and Freddie Mercury of late. I have wanted to know more yes the new movie and documentary help but being told the life of one of the most amazing singers of all time through the eyes of someone who knew him personally gives a much better view of the singer.
Lesley goes into much detail about the singer and what life was like being on tour with the band the the struggles Freddie had to face on a day to day basis. I love how she gives her honest thoughts throughout the book and does try and cover up anything it's all from what she saw through her own eyes.
I also love the added narrations of the other members of the band its a great touch to keep you listening to be honest it plays out like an audio drama that used to play on old-time radio more than someone reading there book.
To sum up if your a fan of Queen, GET THIS BOOK.
If you're a fan of Bio's GET THIS BOOK.
and more important if your a fan of Freddie GET THIS BOOK. You will love it from start to finish and will learn a great deal more then what you thought you knew about the singer that is FREDDIE MERCURY

JUST AS GOOD AS THE CULT MOVIE (Maybe even better)
Reviewed: 13-04-2019
THIS IS MY FIRST EVER LISTENING TO AN AUDIOBOOK I believe it's a good choice.
Steven Kings classic story that Inspired a cult movie, that has become the number one movie of all time.
This short story gives so much more info to what we see in the movie and its little details that I wish was used in the movie but I understand the time frame and trying to fit everything is not always easy.
I was very interested to know some characters in this story were in fact blended into one character in the movie and the death of Tommy never happened was a major shock to me. I also love how a lot of the words from this story were used straight into the movie word by word CLASSIC.
Frank Muller does a great job narrating the story playing RED, he reminds me a lot of Morgan Freeman and I believe is perfect for the reading of this book, I can't wait to hear more of his audiobooks.
I really loved this audiobook/story I am very happy I brought this book and I can't wait to listen to more.
