Story
Today in the West, many consider the church to be dead or dying. Christianity is seen as outdated, bigoted, and responsible for many of society’s problems. This leaves many believers embarrassed about their faith and many outsiders wary of religion. But what if the Christian message is not the enemy of our modern Western values, but the very thing that makes sense of them? In this fascinating book, Glen Scrivener takes listeners on a journey to discover how the teachings of Jesus not only turned the ancient world upside down, but continue to underpin the way we think.

an honest and compelling presentation of the failings of the Christian church and the world in general, as well as the truth of Christ Himself. it is by His standards we see our own failings and have the hope of forgiveness and redemption. this is one book that is most certainly worth reading/listening to again.

Story
In this ground-breaking book, John Morrison examines the theory of evolution being currently taught in high schools and colleges across the world. This planet was once nothing but liquid and gas and over billions of years, somehow the millions of living organisms currently here on earth came into existence, including humans ultimately descending from apes. Once the currently taught theory is understood, John then proceeds to explain what the textbooks don't teach, putting the theory of evolution in a whole new light.

This book is great! its lack of unnecessary detail made the points hit home. my only problem was that it wasn't longer. there are so many other problems with the evolutionary theory that could be mentioned.

Story
Innovation is the main event of the modern age, the reason we experience both dramatic improvements in our living standards and unsettling changes in our society. It is innovation that will shape the 21st century. Yet innovation remains a mysterious process, poorly understood by policy makers and businessmen alike. Matt Ridley argues that we need to see innovation as an incremental, bottom-up, fortuitous process that happens as a direct result of the human habit of exchange, rather than an orderly, top-down process developing according to a plan.

Story
In The Rage Against God, Hitchens details his personal story of how he left the faith and dramatically returned. Like many of the Old Testament saints whose personal lives were intertwined with the life of their nation, so Peter's story is also the story of modern England and its spiritual decline. The path to a secular utopia, pursued by numerous modern tyrants, is truly paved with more violence than has been witnessed in any era in history.

This book gives a great insight into the culture of post -war England, soviet Russia and North Korea with chilling warnings for the modern Western culture.
I loved Hitchen's speech but he did drop volume at the end of sentences occasionally. other than that this is a great audio presentation.
