Story
Twenty-six-year-old Gaby Barreto might be a lot of things (loyal, sarcastic, one of the guys, and a pain in the butt, depending on which family member you ask), but dumb isn't one of them. When her twin brother invites her to go on tour as his band's merch girl, she isn't exactly screaming at the top of her lungs with joy. But with no job opportunities pounding on her door, an ex-boyfriend she would still like to castrate, and no end in sight to moving out of her parents' house in Dallas, it would be dumb to say no to the chance of a lifetime.

I enjoyed how this strayed from the norm for the rockstar trope. Sasha is just adorable. Gabby is so fun to read. The banter she has with her brother and his two band mates, who she grew up with was so funny.
I loved how organically Sasha and Gabby fell in love

I wish I'd checked before getting into this and realise it was a series. I might not have bothered.
I liked this, but not enough to commit to three more books when I feel like I've read a similar story many times.

Story
Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

I enjoyed the relationships between parents and kids.
The friendship between January and Liam before they got romantic. After they slept together things got a little corny.
The female narrator was a little too 'dreamy' for my listening enjoyment.

Normally I'm sucked right in to a story.
I wasn't in this book.
It seems hard to read a royal trope and not find things that scream Kate & Will, or more commonly Harry & Meghan.
But I love how each author has their own take on it.

I like my sex dirty. It takes a hell of a lot to tilt my moral compass, and I always follow when it's pointing at something I want. That goes double when it points straight at the one girl in all of Chicago who's not dying for a piece of me.
