Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. I can not recommend this book highly enough. After listening to it I felt like my whole world had been shaken. I found myself questioning everything yet understanding so many things as well. This book is both healing and insightful into the practices of acceptance and letting go.

Story
In a powerful new vision Dr Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability, and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that, in truth, vulnerability is strength and when we shut ourselves off from vulnerability - from revealing our true selves - we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives.

Story
As it was in Anna Karenina, Madame Bovary, and Othello, so it is in life. Most forms of private vice and public evil are kindled and sustained by lies. Acts of adultery and other personal betrayals, financial fraud, government corruption - even murder and genocide - generally require an additional moral defect: a willingness to lie. In Lying, bestselling author and neuroscientist Sam Harris argues that we can radically simplify our lives and improve society by merely telling the truth in situations where others often lie.

For all those Sam Harris lovers - this reading of his essay Lying is great. It also has a extended Q and A at the end where Sam clarifies some of his points. It is also read by Sam Harris which adds to its clarity and precision. If you want clarity on the Sam Harris philosophy on lying I highly recommend you listen to this audio book.

Exremely well informed and clearly articulated

I got great use out of listening to this book both practically and academically. It has a great way of explaining research based evidence in a user friendly manner. I loved how the author summarised the key findings at the end of the book into three different groups of meditators. I also enjoyed the fact one of the authors read the book. If you are looking for a well informed, researched based book on the facts around meditation, I highly recommend you listen to this audio book :)
