Not a cult classic: Just a stupid book

Pretentious, yet basic. I stopped reading, not only because it was boring, but I was put off by the rolling of a dice and raping women

Not much to dislike. For those that love history, this tells the brutality of this era, through a non biased lens. The battles that were won were as calamitous as they battles that were lost. An era of stupidity that needs to be heard

Excellent characterisation! Love the way Flannery writes. If you like the strange characters then this one is for you

It's ok... but couldn't finish. Gets dry. Probably really helpful for some, and definitely worth a try

Great concept but too much detail and not enough plot or characterisation. Get on with it

Much better than the movie. Stephen King’s Epic.
At the end of his story - King’s description is gripping and tragic. Whatever the force is that runs through John Coffey, is delivered articulately in this Stephen King Epic. If you ever choose to read a King novel instead of watching the movie (however good), the Green Mile is worth every page of time.

I don't think this is any reflection on the author, but rather it is about personal preference. This book is not for me but I couldn't return because I ended membership- I simply regret my choice
