It's rare that I wish an audiobook was not read by the author but Stephenson's delivery felt like synaesthesic shards of glass. The story was mediocre and even with a studied vocabulary it never managed elevation to the realm of the beautiful or particularly interesting. Nothing much to be missed by skipping this title. Go to the source: Read Billy's books instead.

None of the stories provide huge payoff but as a result the book feels largely free of embellishments & was an interesting read; like a rockstar bio without the orgies.

Solid story; contradictory in parts but an earnest retelling nonetheless. This fan enjoyed. Thanks Geezer.

Uncle Joey is a bona fide demon slayer; demons of the internal and invisible kind.

He puts love out to those he's never met and deserves the same in return.

I swear the raw audio has been sped up. Once I slowed playback to 0.8 Jennette no longer sounded like she was actually on speed (the pharmaceutical variety).

Love from the Interzone.

One of the better rock autobiographies. Delves deep into the making of Back in Black then skips the next 30+ years' worth of albums, which would have been interesting. Johnson's accent takes some earlobe twisting; in some spots I skipped back a few times only to give up and have a chuckle at what I imagined he said.

As funny as Sloss can be at times, the arrogance wears thin well before the end. Spoiler alert: he doesn't redeem himself. Sloss seems to be intent on continuing the juvenile behavior of his youth into middle age. With another decade of decreasing testosterone, the addition of extended family and children, and he might temper the unjustified ego that works against him. Either that or he might just continue down the cunt route.

Interesting as always, especially so if interested in linguistics and etymology. While not perfect, the book is well researched, written & narrated.

A series of trainwrecks from the vapid clique. Bonus that Bobbie Brown read the book but the way she struggles with words suggests that she didn't write much of it. Still, it was entertaining in parts and included in the subscription.

Pretty much what you'd expect from Sebastian Bach: rock anecdotes, life story, trials, trauma, hope, personal growth. Overall entertaining.
