Story
Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life, Dr. Gad Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic firsthand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society.

A refreshing blast of reality.

I’ve not heard much from Gad Saad, but I’m very keen to hear more. Throughout the Parasitic Mind he deftly highlights and debunks all of the most ludicrous elements of the modern, noisy, lunatic fringe of the left.
I think it’s important to highlight that (I feel) the majority of the left don’t subscribe to the kind of lunacy that Gad discusses - although of course far too many do; but there is a large cohort that lie closer to the middle ground, closer to reality, who are just too timid to push against the rising tide of utter rubbish being promulgated by institutions around the world.
Anyway, a fantastic read for anyone concerned that identity politics has captured far more than it should ever have been able to, providing ammunition to counter its advance.

Story
Innovation is the main event of the modern age, the reason we experience both dramatic improvements in our living standards and unsettling changes in our society. It is innovation that will shape the 21st century. Yet innovation remains a mysterious process, poorly understood by policy makers and businessmen alike. Matt Ridley argues that we need to see innovation as an incremental, bottom-up, fortuitous process that happens as a direct result of the human habit of exchange, rather than an orderly, top-down process developing according to a plan.
