A lot of rapidly aging advice on how to walk on eggshells in a DEI culture.
I literally took one single useful note from the entire thing.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, but the man is reflective, insightful, even poetic - a Renaissance man, for sure.
That said, he’s no Steve Jobs, this is a story of ‘buttfaces’, ratbags, pirates succeeding against the odds.
Ultimately, it proves to be be of the great stories of American capitalism - of what, at its best, it can and should be.

Story
Being you is not as simple as it sounds. Somehow, within each of our brains, billions of neurons create our everyday conscious experience. But how does this happen? Anil Seth's unique and groundbreaking theory of what it means to 'be you' challenges our understanding of perception and reality, doing for brain science what Dawkins did for evolutionary biology. Being You is an accessible, inspiring and eye-opening exploration of consciousness by one of the most remarkable pioneers working in science today.

It’s clearly too soon to write a book on this topic as all it really achieves is to prove how little is known.
As it stands, it looks as though consciousness may even ultimately show us the limits of the scientific method itself.
No wonder agreement can’t be reached on how to test for AI consciousness, given no one can define what it actually is, in humans.
