Story
The Middle East is a critically important area of our world. And, with its current prominence in international affairs, media images of the Middle East reach us on a daily basis. Much media coverage, however, is incomplete at best, failing to take account of either the complexities or the historical background of this pivotal region. For most of us, the real story of the Middle East remains untold. What made this crucial geopolitical area what it is today?

Quite enjoyed it, but doesn't cover anything after 2014. Will listen again when I have time.

Good Great Courses stuff

Quite good, I was a left wanting more. The reader is good. Some of the events were not in chronological order, which was a little confusing at first.

I especially enjoyed the reader for this book. Had the roles down pat.
Story was quite good, even if it was a little weak at the end.

I liked it

I didn't realise that this was going to be narrated by a different reader for each characters viewpoint, but then have each reader try and give accents to the other characters. Can be a bit confusing and a few were annoying to listen to.
I enjoyed the story though, I prefer this type of harder sci fi from S.K., even when a little far fetched.
