Story
Imajica is an epic beyond compare: vast in conception, obsessively detailed in execution, and apocalyptic in its resolution. At its heart lies the sensualist and master art forger Gentle, whose life unravels when he encounters Judith Odell, whose power to influence the destinies of men is vaster than she knows, and Pie "oh" pah, an alien assassin who comes from a hidden dimension.

What a ride. I struggle to stay interested in books and somehow, I easily lasted all 37 hours of this masterpiece. In my opinion, this is the pinnacle of writing and the best thing I've ever read. The performance by Simon Vance is brilliant as well

The Lonely Motel holds many dark secrets and room six just might hold the worst of them all. Angel knows a lot about pain. His mother died in this room. He's researched its history. He's come back today to end it, no matter the cost, once and for all. Prostitute Shyla believes the stories Angel tells her can't be true. Secrets so vile, you won't want to let them inside you. Great stories

Very graphic which isn't usually my thing, but it was so well told and so wonderfully written by Mr. Ralston that I was hooked early on. There is a lot of praise for this book and I see why.
A nerdy English man playing an African American does not help this story. However, it is still read well. Sometimes you just have to put your own voices in your head over the top of the narration

Story
There was no reason to assume anything out of the ordinary was going on. Strange noises in the apartment. Impulsive behaviour. Intense dreams. It wasn't like everything went wrong all at once. Shoplifting. Fighting. Blackouts. There must be a reasonable explanation for all this.

This reeled me in early and stayed strong until the end. It's a terrifying concept. It was a very powerful plot that could send the superstitious over the edge of sanity.

Story
Amid rising gang violence, the crack epidemic, and police brutality, a group of unlikely voices cut through the chaos of late 1980s Los Angeles: N.W.A. Led by a drug dealer, a glammed-up producer, and a high school kid, N.W.A. gave voice to disenfranchised African Americans across the country. And they quickly redefined pop culture across the world. Their names remain as popular as ever: Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube. Dre soon joined forces with Suge Knight to create the combustible Death Row Records.

So much more information than we know
Reviewed: 16-02-2022
I learned so much from this after thinking I already had all the info. Little did I know that what I knew was only surface information. The only issue I had with the performance was some of the pronunciation of names. I just thought, we know the names from the songs, have you heard them? However, it did sound like the reader had to do some research or already knew a lot. It was just the mispronunciation that did my head in, but I'm weird like that.

Story
Bitter and merciless war is coming to the frozen north. It's bloody and dangerous and the Union army, split by politics and hamstrung by incompetence, is unprepared for the slaughter that's coming. Lacking experience, training, and in some cases even weapons, the army is scarcely equipped to repel Bethod's scouts, let alone his elite forces. In the heat-ravaged south, the Gurkish are massing to assault the city of Dagoska, defended by Inquisitor Glokta.
