Story
If you are a true believer, Satan hates you because you bear the image of Christ and because you were snatched from his power. You deserted Satan, and he wants you back. He wants to sift you like wheat. While we should not overestimate Satan's power, to our peril we underestimate an enemy who is living, intelligent, resourceful, and cunning. Every Christian is in a battle that is fierce, spiritual, and necessary between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Essential listening for believers

Listening now for the 5th time. Dr Beeke’s book is full of encouragement and scriptures that promote a more healthy walk with Christ. Satan is already a defeated foe but seeks to take down many more souls with himself to hell for eternity. Stay faithful and dependent on the Triune God because only He can lift you from satan’s evil tempting. I can’t wait to sit next to Dr Beeke on a flight!! He is a powerful witness for the true gospel.

The performances of the NKJV are exceptionally good, easy to listen to and, my favourite - the text is read at an appropriate speed to take in the meaning of the text. The audio background in very contextual and adds historical emphasis to the passage of Scripture being read.

Wow! This series of sermons from a well respected Pastor is both entertaining and full of encouraging revelations.
Thank you, John Piper. The Holy Spirit has spoken though you.
As Christians, we are to remain obedient to the truth of the Gospel and it is often necessary that we are guided by men like JP to fully understand the details of how we are to live in order to glorify Christ in every aspect of our lives.
The amazing truth is that we have been saved, through God's grace, even while we were still immersed in the bondage of sin.
The release from eternal punishment is available to us if we repent of our sin and accept that Jesus Christ has taken our punishment upon Himself so that we might live through Him.
This audiobook is a tremendous way to listen while driving or stuck in heavy traffic. It takes the stress away!

An honest account

Warren Mundine has had a profound impact on the lives of both Indigenous and European Australians. Often, to his personal detriment, this man has agitated and shocked those representing established points of view concerning how Indigenous Australians should be considered in this country.
As a white Australian growing up in the Central West and New England regions of N.S.W. I have always warmed to the humour and straight-forwardness of my Aboriginal friends, but also sharing their frustration, often anger, at the way that our society has treated them. They deserve nothing less than an equal go and to our shame, Australia has not treated these equals with fairness, nor offered traditional Aussies the opportunities and encouragement that they are entitled to.
Thank you Warren Mundine for your story, we all need to hear it!

Caine at his best!
Reviewed: 25-10-2018
Michael Caine has left us with much wisdom and encouragement in this publication. He always has been an exceptional actor and this, like his earlier book, is a slap in the face to those in leadership positions who judge and discriminately condemn their fellow human beings.
Caine is a success in spite of much unfair treatment in the industry during his lengthy career. He speaks wise advice, where, through his own personal experiences, he encourages the listener to make good of every difficulty.
This is great advice for young men and women who are perhaps struggling with discouragement or who may have been on the receiving end of hurtful comments. Caine has been there, listen to what he has to say.
In his relaxed tone and easy to listen to Elephant's Castle accent, the book is very, very entertaining.
I'm on the 2nd listening to this audio book, and it won't be the last, I guarantee!!

Amazing Insight into the mission of Paul
Reviewed: 16-12-2017
By listening, over and over again, to this quality audiobook, we can gain a very rich understanding of the First Century church foundations in the context of Jewish opposition to the Way of Christ and to Roman and Greek cultural oppression of the early believers.
Paul and his fellow converts withstood fierce opposition yet continued to spread the Gospel throughout the World.
When Rabbi Saul became Paul, missionary to the Gentiles, he moved from persecutor to persecuted and suffered incredible physical torture and mental anguish up to his murder under Nero.
This book is a wonderful encouragement to us to maintain a commitment to Christ in the midst of this wealthy and hedonistic society.

An entertaining expedition into the heart of Islam
Reviewed: 05-10-2017
This intensely interesting book will hold your attention as Quresh, a devout Muslim, teaches us how Muslims are captured by faithful devotion to Allah and the prophet Muhammad. Without criticising or denigrating his own family's faith, Qureshi sincerely and humbly takes us on an incredible journey that reaches a climax where he, himself accepts Christ as the Son of God, Redeemer and Saviour.
The book is very well read, clearly enunciated and is full of rich stories that will captivate the listener.
For listeners who are not Christian, it will be an exceptional, exploratory experience.
This is highly recommended for anyone who seeks knowledge of Islam and Christianity.

Ever since he became a Christian at the age of 40, it has been Poirot actor David Suchet's dream to make an audio recording of the complete Bible. In between filming the final episodes of Poirot, David Suchet spent over 200 hours in the recording studio to create the very first full-length audio version of the NIV Bible spoken by a single British actor.

- By SamanthaStirling on 13-04-2021
Lovely rendering by David Suchet
Reviewed: 29-08-2017
Would you consider the audio edition of Complete NIV Audio Bible to be better than the print version?
This narration is slowly read, providing the listener with the opportunity to take in the Scripture and understand it much more effectively.Suchet's accent is perfectly appropriate for the readings and his assortment of inflections and use of pausing for effect is very easy to listen to.The pronunciation of names and places is very accurate. If only David Suchet could record New King James or English Standard version, too.
What other book might you compare Complete NIV Audio Bible to, and why?
There are better versions of Scripture but the recordings of these are not as desirable as this one.
What about David Suchet’s performance did you like?
His narration is not rushed, pronunciation is accurate, his silky tone is a pleasure to listen to. He brings the Scripture to life. It's better than listening to Shakespeare - the drama is there but God's Word is presented in all of its glory.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The Gospels are particularly moving.
Any additional comments?
This recording is unique in its quality.
