Story
In this book, Riley scrutinizes the perspectives of athletes on the opposing side of this debate, deconstructing their arguments with science, facts, and logic. She also asks what has happened to free speech and dissent in this country, where it now seems nearly impossible to have a well-reasoned debate. And in telling her story, Riley reveals what’s at stake if the truth-seekers remain silent about the injustices women face from radical agendas.

Well worth listening to….

I really admire Riley for everything she’s managed -all the hate she’s endured, simply for standing up for what is right. Saying what so many of us think, but know that if we said it, we would also be accused of what she has been - “transphobic”. The Science and Biological facts (not to mention COMMON SENSE) are on her side -and always will be. Thankyou Riley for narrating your book yourself. You can hear the passion in you speaking your own words. I listened to it all in one go. I then went back and listened to certain chapters again. The way you were treated by certain authorities was disgraceful.

It helps if you’ve watched the actual show -because you can visualise the actual actors… I’m also really pleased that they had John Cleese commenting at the start of each show-about what we were about to watch/listen to, and they had Andrew Sachs -the actor that played “Manuel’, provide the parts in the episode about things you couldn’t hear -but needed to know for it to make sense. Well done for allowing people to relive these shows over and over again without actually watching them.

Story
In Home Work, Julie describes her years in Hollywood - from the incredible highs to the challenging lows. Not only does she detail her work in now-classic films and her collaborations with giants of cinema and television; she also unveils her personal story of adjusting to a new and often daunting world, dealing with the demands of unimaginable success, being a new mother, moving on from her first marriage, embracing two stepchildren, adopting two more children and falling in love with the brilliant and mercurial Blake Edwards. The pair worked together in numerous films.

Highly recommend listening to Julies’s first book “Home’ first. She’s so honest, sharing what must have been difficult emotions and relationships. Her work on Broadway and so many much loved movies speak for themselves. I couldn’t stop listening and like the other book, found myself wanting to rewind and go back and listen to some chapters again. I just wish there was a PDF that we could look at whatever photos were included with the hard copy version of both books. Thankyou Julie for sharing so muvh of yourself and your family and friends with your fans.

Story
The heroine of Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music tells her life story from the music halls of London to Broadway stardom. Over the years Julie Andrews has been much interviewed in the press and on television, but she has never before revealed the true story of her childhood and upbringing. In Home she vividly re-creates the years before the movies. An idyllic early childhood in Surrey was cut short when her parents divorced and her mother remarried. The family moved to London, and there are vivid scenes of life during the Blitz.

Magnificent listen that is impossible to put down. I found myself registering to some parts several times. She’s such an extraordinarily talented lady, but very humble as well. She’s worked so hard to get where she has, and it couldn’t have happened to a lovelier person. Thankyou Julie for sharing your life and loves.

WITHOUT Hedley Thomas and his commitment….
Reviewed: 25-11-2023
…..to seeing justice being done, it may never have happened. Thankyou Hedlley for sharing what you went through to bring the podcast and story and ultimately justice to everyone that matters. Receiving death threats just for doing your job is about as low as people can go. Then again, would those that believed someone that was innocent really need to go to such lengths? Shooting a journalist’s home narrowly missing his wife??
Sadly, what the convicted murderer did is he continued gaslit his daughters the same way he did to their beautiful Mother Lynette Joy Dawson. All those bruises Lynette ended up with on her body. Physical and emotional abuse…control, financial abuse. He stole so much from his daughters, and doesn’t seem to be able to show his daughters or Lynette’s family any remorse let alone tell her family where he put Lynette’s body. Without Detective Damian Loon, and Lynette’s work friends and sister, justice may not ever have been done. The court case and media articles have made all this information public. It is a Monumental fall from grace. I didn’t know that his twin brother Paul was also having inappropriate relationships with young girls as is stated in this book.
Very sadly The DAMAGE TO THE FAMILY remains…. - Lynette’s 2 daughters aren’t on the same CAMP about what their father did. HIS actions…seemingly because of huge jealousy, sex, unbelievable selfishness, narcissistic personalities. The reading public must wonder how he can claim to be ‘crying his eyes out’ at night over the disappearance of his wife’? I guess if you tell yourself and other people something enough times, you start to believe it yourself.
I really hope that his eldest daughter Shanelle, and her daughter (as interviewed by 60 minutes) find happiness and love that they deserve. I hope Lynette’s body is found one day…..and laid to rest the way she truly deserves.

Story
Years before the name Alex Murdaugh was splashed across every major media outlet in America, local South Carolina journalist Mandy Matney had an instinct that something wasn’t right in the Lowcountry. The powerful Murdaugh dynasty had dominated rural South Carolina for generations. No one dared to cross them.

Loved this -The only positive thing to come out of the Murders of Paul and Maggie….not to mention the murders of Mallory and Stephen. Completely innocent people lost their lives. People like Stephens Mom Sandy and his twin sister Stephanie have suffered for years- as have the Beach family. Not to mention Gloria Satterfields family. Thankyou Mandy and Liz and David for not keeping quiet and letting this get all shoved under the rug.
Michael would be so proud of his sister!
