Story
Lizzie Dixon's life feels as though it's fallen apart. Instead of the marriage proposal she was hoping for from her boyfriend, she is unceremoniously dumped, and her job is about to go the same way. So there's only one option: to go back home to the village she grew up in and to try to start again. Her best friend, Jemma, is delighted Lizzie has come back home, as she has just bought a little cafe, and Lizzie's sewing skills are just what she needs to help get it ready for the grand opening.

Disappointing...
Reviewed: 07-02-2021
This was my first Heidi Swain book...and possibly my last. The whole cafe, cakes & sewing sounded like a cute chic lit story but, the main character was just soooo weak!!! She was just a pushover from start to end - a completely uninspiring character all the way through. This took me ages to finish because I just couldn’t get into it and then was really disappointed with the ending. Narrator did a great job!

Story
Good Sugar Bad Sugar tackles the biggest dietary threat to the modern world: sugar. Due to refined sugar in so many foods, we are seeing epidemics of obesity and type II diabetes on a global scale. The warnings are stark - a 50 percent rise in the death toll from type II diabetes in the next 10 years - yet it's not as straightforward as telling people to cut down on the sugar. Sugar consumption is an addiction that begins at birth and it requires a proven method to get you free.

SUGAR ADDICT - FREED FOREVER!
Reviewed: 03-11-2019
Wow. Just wow! I got this book after hearing a rave review about the quit drinking version. I have been a sugar addict for most of my life and I still can’t actually believe this works - and it did immediately. Basically you have to be prepared to give up sugar and refined carbs forever. There’s definitely a switch flicked in the brain when you make the promise to yourself to give these up for good. If you’re a sugar addict and have tried everything - TRY THIS BOOK!

I loved this book so much I ordered myself a paperback copy so I could focus my attention on the activities in the book. Mikes enthusiasm while reading really made this book so much more enjoyable. If you're a fan of his previous work you will love this! And if you've never read his stuff - you'll want to after listening to this. (Rate 10 stars if I could!)
