Story
When Elizabeth Bennet first knew Mr. Darcy, she despised him and was sure he felt the same. Angered by his pride and reserve, influenced by the lies of the charming Mr. Wickham, she never troubled herself to believe he was anything other than the worst of men - until, one day, he unexpectedly proposed. Mr. Darcy's passionate avowal of love causes Elizabeth to reevaluate everything she thought she knew about him.

A most enjoyable adaptation of P&P. This story kept enough elements of the original even though the events occurred differently. The characters were true to the original text. I would love a sequel.

Story
After a wild bet, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who's 10 years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable. While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn't need glory or fame. She's fine with being a 'mere' ER doctor.

What a beautiful story and beautifully narrated. I haven't enjoyed a book this much for ages. I listened to the whole thing in one day while sick. It was lovely distraction and I'm looking forward to hearing more from this author.

If you've always wanted to know what happens to the characters in P&P after finishing the book then this series fully satisfies that need. The characters, language, settings and period remain true to the original. Very cleverly written and an absolute joy to listen to. If you're an Austen fan, you won't be disappointed. I'm now going to purchase the 3rd book in this series.

It can be very hard to choose which adaptations to listen to as there are so many. I ummed and ahhhed over this one for quite a while but very glad I used a credit to purchase it. A very cleverly written adaptation. The characters are all well-developed and true to the original text with the exception of Miss Darcy. Narration was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed listening!

What a marathon of roller coaster emotions. I'm glad it's over. I wanted to hear the ending, so I kept listening but felt shorter would have been preferable for me. I'm sure it's a story many can relate to. I ended up really liking the main male character. Narration was well done.

This is a very enjoyable, creative and engaging P&P variation. Quite unique in that it is all letters written to others, which was frustrating at times as I wanted more details immediately but had to wait for the next letter! I would have liked more details on Lizzy and Darcy's romance and feelings leading to, as well as after, their marriage. I chose this title as it was the highest rating after a google search when I felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of variations available. Narration was excellent.

Unfortunately, Mr Darcy returns to Netherfield on the Bingleys’ wedding day, just in time to launch disaster into the proceedings. Elizabeth Bennet’s attempt to put the wedding-wrecker in his place only worsens matters when her private conversation with Mr Darcy becomes a misunderstood marriage proposal. Way too focused on Miss Bingley.
Dragged out the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth; waiting for Elizabeth to return his feelings, even though they were spending a lot of time together and author had them talking about how they were working towards marriage all that time. Got a bit tiresome. Otherwise okay.

I enjoyed this variation. Enough references to the original story to make it believable. Loveable characters. Many of the situations they found themselves in wouldn't have happened if truly set in time period but author gave reasons to make it seem okay. Enjoyed the easy listen so much that I later listened a second time and enjoyed it all over again.
