Edited versions slightly annoying.

Being a connoisseur of the show and knowing the scripts backwards, it was annoying that quite a bit was edited out from some episodes. Still the number one British comedy.

Story
It's the following Thursday. Elizabeth has received a letter from an old colleague, a man with whom she has a long history. He's made a big mistake, and he needs her help. His story involves stolen diamonds, a violent mobster and a very real threat to his life. As bodies start piling up, Elizabeth enlists Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron in the hunt for a ruthless murderer. And if they find the diamonds, too? Well, wouldn't that be a bonus? But this time, they are up against an enemy who wouldn't bat an eyelid at knocking off four septuagenarians.

Disappointing....
Reviewed: 16-03-2023
....not in this book, it's outstanding, but listening to Richard and Lesley talk at the end, it was a done deal that she would narrate the third book. I have since seen that she did not. I really don't want to listen to someone else's interpretation of these amazing characters. I think I will buy the book and just imagine Lesley reading it.

lost credibility

really enjoyed the first and last chapters read by Arnold, but why did he not do the rest? Having someone else read an Autobiography just loses credibility but I got used to it and enjoyed the book regardless.

Story
World snooker champion Ronnie O'Sullivan's first-volume autobiography Ronnie was a major best seller, acclaimed for its candour and insight into the life of a top sports star. In his second book, Ronnie reflects on how much of his life has been running away or running towards (often inadvisable) things.

loses credibility
Reviewed: 02-04-2022
Not having the protagonist read an autobiography makes it lose credibility. Stephen Hendry's book was better for that reason, despite his story being less interesting.

Story
The person you are with is just like you: same background, same age, same interests. The perfect match. And it is an unmitigated disaster. Then, when and where you least expect it, you meet someone new. You seem to have nothing in common and yet, somehow, it feels totally right. Nick Hornby's brilliantly observed, tender but also brutally funny new novel gets to the heart of what it means to fall surprisingly and headlong in love with the best possible person - someone who is not just like you at all.

The two narrators were perfect. One of Hornby's top 3 books for sure. All done in one week's commute. Recommended.

Story
If you’ve done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe? Which is exactly what the crew of the Heart of Gold plan to do. There’s just the small matter of escaping the Vogons, avoiding being taken to the most totally evil world in the Galaxy and teaching a space ship how to make a proper cup of tea. And did anyone actually make a reservation?

This sequel is not as good as the first book, but is not helped by not having Stephen Fry on board. Martin Freeman is too monotone.
