Story
I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....

I have listened to the authors work previously and have enjoyed her stay telling skills.
She masterfully wove an intricate storyline with many twists and turns.
Just as you think you have figured it all out, a final twist is revealed, evaluating her skill yet again to be a stellar artist.
Will definitely continue to look for more by this author, highly enjoyable.

I don't usually write reviews but this book is the exception.
It was a really different way to approach a variety of relevant topics. If your tired of books that are rehashing the same old themes then this is your book.
it had plenty of twists and turns all of which were really unexpected. this story kept up with the twists without being obvious or being a regurgitation of the same old themes.
I'm off to look for more stories by this author. well done!! and thank you.

An interesting take on a victim planing revenge.
Narrator did a reasonable job with the material she had to work with.
Didn't keep my interest and I struggled to continue with it. Blase best describes my feelings, although I have heard worse, at least I finished it. Wrapped up the ending with a pretty unrealistic bow , leaving many unanswered questions.

Fast becoming my new favourite listen from JD Kirk. I'm a big fan of detective Logan, but the foul mouthed Bob Hoon is somehow endearing. Can't wait for the next one and as usual brilliantly read by Angus!!!

interesting take on a murder/ child abduction
Reviewed: 27-03-2022
Probably above average story and I liked how it unfolded ( after a while), definately not predictable and was a realistic approach to a difficult subject for every parent.
Asks those questions of how far would you go to protect your child, we are all capable of extreme violence when backed into a corner. But violent thoughts as unsettling as they are, do not a murderer make!!!

good story
Reviewed: 06-03-2022
I enjoyed the story and for once also enjoyed the happy ending, usually I'm not a fan if happy endings, that's not life!!
narration was ok, but at times annoying, female narration can fail for male characters, especially adolescent boys!!
the twists in the story were good and a couple if double twists too.
sex scenes I'm not a fan of, but these were tolerable (barely) and minus 1 star for use of the creepy word used by child molesters and s3xual deviants ( panties eeerqk).
Not bad for an afternoon read/ listen
