Story
Richmond Upon Thames is one of the most desirable areas to live in London. And Riverview Close - a quiet, gated community – seems to offer its inhabitants the perfect life. At least it does until Giles Kenworthy moves in with his wife and noisy children, his four gas-guzzling cars, his loud parties and his plans for a new swimming pool in his garden. His neighbours all have a reason to hate him and are soon up in arms. When Kenworthy is shot dead with a crossbow bolt through his neck, all of them come under suspicion and his murder opens the door to lies, deception and further death.

Little reality

The twists, the dead ends, the intrigue. It was certainly not a pleasure but one of those things to both like and hate in the same breath. It stretches the imagination, and like one of the main characters-of chess grand master design, scheming. This book will challenge the grey matter to persist against the usual norms to arrive at some kind of conclusion.

An Amazing Story !
Reviewed: 21-07-2024
The integration of the story, a tale drawn from so many areas, from the surfs to the top dogs, but then the finale is amazing. Not the usual rank and title crammed drawn out tirade. I often just paused, a short while, sometimes much longer just to roll it around the many well designed, beautifully written passages, just so pleasing. But let me add a short note on the narration. An off tone, a weak presentation, lack of enthusiasm, those elements so often sink a tale, but not here, a joy a pleasure in Spades. Thank you so much Mr Forsyth, you have done us a superbly tailored story, it is grand.

A little too tedious in places. The latter part of the tail moved along rather well! Even just to dwell in the “Oh wouldn’t that be great if it could be a reality” It’s a good tale, bit over the top with the extreme retelling with too much foul language. While extraneous language telling is centre stage, good solid assessment is being bypassed. Let’s hear it straight without the BS.

I feel very deeply for the so many who live “Outback” who have this erratic service. Better than none ? No it’s not in the long run. If this man could simply live on a much more constant level - wow ! What a gain for him and all about him. A brain but an emotional shipwreck, more peaks and valleys than the Himalayas.

Story
For 300 years, The Pilgrim's Progress has remained perhaps the best-loved and most read of devotional fictions. In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

Yes it’s tale like none other, childish yet profound, provoking in me a rather deep thoughtful assay of just what drives, what hinders, just as what really are my motivations. Of course this probably is the basics of what I should be a truthful self evaluation, but do I, or will I, indeed can I arise to deal well with them.
