Story
In these 10 eye-opening lectures by a practicing doctor and medical educator, you’ll walk through a series of medical mystery cases ripped from history and involving well-known historical figures whose identities are nevertheless hidden from you. Every one of these cases requires you to use your detective skills to identify and diagnose the mystery patient just like the doctors that attended them. In the process, you’ll learn fascinating insights into medicine: both the medicine that was practiced thousands of years ago and the medicine doctors practice today.

Story
Eddie Jaku always considered himself a German first, a Jew second. He was proud of his country. But all of that changed in November 1938, when he was beaten, arrested and taken to a concentration camp. Over the next seven years, Eddie faced unimaginable horrors every day, first in Buchenwald, then in Auschwitz, then on a Nazi death march. He lost family, friends, his country.

Mesmerising

It was a heart breaking recount of a world that is so hard to believe existed. Yet, Eddie maintains his composure and recalls his memories of his time during WWII. My family was also persecuted during AH’s tyrannical rule - it also took my relations a long time to discuss their trauma. Whilst it’s difficult to imagine now, I believe it’s vitally important for this history to continue to be relayed so the next generation of decision makers can assist in avoiding these tragedies again. Eddie - you made me smile. I definitely recommend this book.

Story
For more than 10 years, a mysterious and violent predator committed 50 sexual assaults in Northern California before moving south, where he perpetrated 10 sadistic murders. Then he disappeared, eluding capture by multiple police forces and some of the best detectives in the area. Three decades later, Michelle McNamara, a true crime journalist who created the popular website True Crime Diary, was determined to find the violent psychopath she called the Golden State Killer. Michelle pored over police reports, interviewed victims, and embedded herself in the online communities that were as obsessed with the case as she was.

I'm sorry.....
Reviewed: 17-09-2020
I'm sorry, but I was just not able to complete the audio-book. The story diverted too rapidly between the information about the author and then kind of diverted, almost like it was a chore, back to the actual story of the EAR. The EAR has been in my "life" my whole life, so I was kind of hoping to hear about his motivation and any update from his arrest. I became bored and so sadly, ceased listening. I'm sorry to the multitudes of people he affected, but I'd prefer to hear your stories rather than the droll ramblings of an amateur sleuth with a fascination.

I really enjoyed this and it confirmed my long held belief of veiled prejudice against Meghan. Harry, Meghan and Archie have made the right decision for their lives, and the establishment must endure these changes and grow with them for it to continue be a viable institution for the Commonwealth. I respect and admire the Queen and I'm sad she has been directed so much criticism - she has come from a very different generation and she's doing what she know's best. I think she's very gracious to accept Harry's choice.
