Story
Levi Akira’s existence is far from ideal. His mother's addiction consumes their lives, his academic standing is crumbling, and the convenience store he works at is a constant target for ruthless robberies. But amidst the chaos, Levi finds solace in only three things: his tight-knit group of friends, protecting his neighborhood as one of Jericho’s Boys, and streaming his favorite video game, where he assumes the role of Rogue—a hero who will break the rules for the greater good.

This was an enjoyable listen, has the usual mix of traumatic backstory for the MCs, the immediate meet and obsession and the witty banter as well as a healthy dose of Mulvaneys included. Some parts of Levi & Nico are swapped to how we were first introduced to them so best to just go with the flow and pretend you’re only meeting them now.
Wish Liam had stuck with Felix’s old voice though, it was off putting listening to him sound different to his own book but as always he did a great job and brings all the characters to life.

Story
Why is it that the first attractive man to look my way mistakes me for a bad guy, stuffs me in the trunk of his car, and ships me off to an island where I’m positive the only thing waiting for me is my own murder? I mean... yeah, Tavish is charismatic and fun, but did I mention the whole trunk thing? Oh, maybe I forgot to mention his peculiar group of friends who keep promising to “help” me, but why are they running around with masks and weapons while praising fences?

I’m glad I did my second listen to this as I didn’t realise how many little bits I’d missed while laughing at the previous joke. This has all the hallmarks of the previous books - quick wit, funny incidents, the murder van and the murder song! No car chase song though 🙁
Ellis’s running commentary at the beginning of his kidnap was funny and his general questioning and wonderment of the groups actions through the book where amusing.
I just wish the musical extravaganza that was the murder song at the end was longer - really felt like I was at a musical that was winding up for the big finale and wanted it to go on for another few verses 😆 Well done Michael, it’s fantastic. Hats off to Michael in general with his interpretation of the characters, I know there’s some parts that had I been reading them would not have sounded as funny as his portrayal. He really brings this series to life.

Loved how this series wrapped up. Have read it multiple times and it never disappoints. The more you read and knowing what’s going to come up the more you realise the hints that were dropped.
This was first time listening to it, I won’t be buying the audio for the Hunter series unfortunately. While the narrator brought Zoey, Dan & Dev to life her accents for other characters where not on par, Scottish sounding Irish etc. The aussie accent in this book was way off and I won’t be able to listen to Trent more than I did for this book and knowing how big a part he plays in the next series I’ll stick to re-reading the books.
I’m sure others will love the audible it just wasn’t for me for this particular series.

Story
As Zoey Donovan-Quinn first sets foot in the faery homeland of her beloved Devinshea, life is perfect. Her enemy is defeated, her heart is full, and Neil and Sarah are at her side. Daniel and Dev are happy, so their visit to the sithein should be a pleasant honeymoon full of wonder and joy. Well, except for the part where Zoey needs to steal an ancient gem from the Queen of Faery in order to prevent Louis Marini from killing Daniel.

The story continues as the crew travel to the faery plain. This is another great installment in the overarching storyline. Having read it a number of times the audio brings another element to it with the individual characters really brought to life. The narrator had some weird pronunciations though that took a while to get used to.

Can loving someone kill you? I feel like the world is ending every time I look at them. Cam. My brother. My president. He's the love of my life. And then there's Alexei. I didn't know I could feel this way about one person, let alone two. But I think of him in every breath I breathe for Cam. Every thundering beat of my heart. Because there is no Cam without him. There is no me. My life wasn't worth living until I found something worth dying for. And I'd die for them a thousand times.

Another strong storyline as the trio come together. There’s a lot more physic understanding between the characters than you’d probably find it real life but love the way mental health and other issues are handled by the author. Even big bad bikers need some TLC.

Opposites attract. The outlaw biker and the accountant. Straightlaced vs straight to hell. Or heaven, depending on how you look at it. And you can look at it any way you like, doesn't mean it's true. Either way, falling for snarky Alexei Ivanov is the lightbulb moment I've been waiting for my whole damn life. Or at least since my head got turned by someone else. A man I call brother, but he's so much more than that.

The 5 minute sample doesn’t do this book justice, I nearly didn’t purchase it as it sounded like the characters where all the same and hard to distinguish but given I’d already read the book and enjoyed the story I decided to go ahead and try it and I’m glad I did.
I did play it at a slightly slower speed than the default rate which allowed me get into the book and enjoy the many different characters.
Each are very distinguishable as you listen through and I’ve read the following books at the normal speed now that I’m used to the accents.
Really enjoyed the story line and how the main characters interact with each other.

Expect: His brother's best friend. His best friend's little brother. The soft-hearted bear and the rowdy chaos gremlin. The inevitable only happens when you let it. "Riv, if you ever let me speak, you'd know exactly how I feel." I've told him that a thousand times, but River's stubborn streak is a mile wide. He doesn't want to hear it. To him, we're doomed. Cursed. Forbidden. Because he thinks I love a goddamn motorcycle club more than him.

For country bikers Ruby and Riv are very descriptive and their use of language really brings the story to life and sparks your imagination. There’s some great one-liners in it.
Great to see their story come together and as always we catch up with the more established couples/trouples while learning more about the future main characters.

The first thing on our list of Save Miles from the Dark Magic That Might Be Making Him Do Ridiculous Things is to destroy the ominous book that's snagging my attention. But what I don't expect is to be dragged into the book filled with dark mysteries that leaves me with more questions and a lack of pants. But it's nothing that Havoc and I can't handle.

The laughs continue

This was as funny as the previous books and I laughed out loud at Emperor Miles and his descriptions of his friends particularly One and Popsicle when the magic took him over. This had the wit and banter of the previous books, the side characters are all interesting and Lachlan in particular comes out with some great lines. The story however like the last one, quickly reached the climax and the final confrontation was over rather quickly with some things left unanswered. Would have liked the plot and story to be a little longer. Overall a very fun listen, Greg does an excellent job at making each character definable and I think his interpretation makes it a lot funnier than had I just read it.

Wes Cooper was dead. Then he wasn't-though he's not exactly alive, either. As an immortal not-ghost, he can transition between this world and the otherplane, which makes him the perfect thief for hire. For 70 years he's made a "living" returning items to their rightful owners, seeing his fair share of the bizarre in the process. But he's never witnessed murder. Until now.

This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed the book, a similar vibe to Alice Winters/Louisa Masters with a little less sass/snark but still having lots of great one liners and funny moments.
The characters were charming and the storyline was different and interesting and kept me engaged. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series now.
As always Greg did a great job narrating.

Story
Is there such thing as love at first bar fight? I may be small and pretty, but what I lack in intimidation factor, I make up for in violence. I made a vow five years ago that the motorcycle club responsible for my brother’s death would pay the price, and I’m finally ready to collect. May God have mercy on the men who hurt my brother, because I don’t plan to.
